Plymouth Dance Academy

My daughters have been attending classes with Miss Becky for around 4 years and each week, they are still excited to go. The classes and structured, informative and fun. It’s a really lovely dance school and would recommend!

Me and my (now) husband had classes with the amazing Carmen Hawkins for our wedding here. My husband has never danced in his life and so we knew we needed some lessons in order to get at least something for the wedding's first dance. We had three one-hour sessions with Carmen and by the end of them, we had an over four minute routine that wowed our guests and had two lifts in it (upon my request)! Carmen was so wonderful and catered to our abilities in dance. She used our music to come up with a beautiful waltz and some of our guests were even in tears afterwards and a lot of people said it was the best part of the wedding! I can't thank her enough for being so kind and patient with us and for choreographing such a beautiful dance for our wedding. If you're getting married and would like some choreography for your first dance, I thoroughly recommend Plymouth Dance Academy. Thanks again to Carmen, our dance was truly something to remember and cherish.

My 2 year-old granddaughter absolutely loves her Ballet Bunnies sessions with Miss Becky on Saturday mornings at Plympton Chaddlewood community centre. Her confidence and dexterity has grown in leaps and bounds. Lovely, friendly class.

Fabulous! My daughter absolutely loves going to ballet. She isn't the type to go anywhere without me but from day one she went it to that hall confidently and I know she feels safe. The lessons are the perfect amount of time for little ones and she loves coming home showing her moves. Really happy mummy :)

my daughter fell in love with dancing thanks to the wonderful teacher Mrs. Carmen. Lena eagerly attends ballet and performance classes. Mrs. Carmen always make a nice atmosphere, she prepared my daughter very well for her ballet exams. I highly recommend it❤️

My toddler has only been dancing here for a short amount of time, but you can see how much progress she has made during this time. I love when she comes home and shows me all the ballet teacher Carmen taught them. Carmen is super organized and efficient. The classes run like clockwork. The children are all well behaved under teacher Carmen’s instruction. She is also very protective and makes sure she sees mommy/daddy before sending the child out of her classroom. Very reassuring. We can’t wait for the winter show to see what they’ve worked on.

My daughter Ruya, started ballet in Plymouth Dance Academy when she was 18 months old. She is now nearly 6 years old and her love for dancing just grows every day thanks to Mrs Carmen. This year, she also started acro/street dance and her flexibility and balance improved significantly.Mrs Carmen is an amazing teacher, kind, caring, and brilliant at teachng little kids. Before class, you see all beaming, happy faces which tells it all.

My little one who started at 18 months with miss Becky in plympton for ballet bunnies has come on so much I cannot thank the academy for what they have done for her confidence, she truly shining! Thank you so much Plymouth dance academy
