Excellent, Attentive Staff on visit to Battersea office. Impressed by the product range.I had a quick play with some of the gas fires (?) which used a remote control - and the sales person helped me turn it back on... after I switched it off.. by accident!

Chesneys fireplaces are 2nd to none. One is the best providers in the market. However, the aftercare is extremely poor. To book an engineer’s annual service it would take min 2-3 months. They have 2-3 engineers in central London, who every time come say the gas fire units are not designed well and are mostly for display than being used. Their response rate is 1 email every 10 follow ups you do. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service.

My visit to Chesney's was great - I had many questions about my project, some of a very technical nature - and the staff gave very clear, invaluable advice on fireplaces in a non-sales way. The range of fireplaces on show was extensive, and I actually met a fitter who showed me some work in progress and what I could expect during installation. Good stuff and thank you Chesney's.

The way the Chesneys woodburners operate is fantastic - I've used and compared plenty of stoves and the standard of controllability and clean burning is just stunning. So easy to use.Nicholas and his team also go out of their way to ensure the advice is spot on . Would 100% recommend.

Great sales and fireplace, but APPALLING installation teams.Firstly they gave us the wrong size hearth which we collected from their warehouse post the measurements by the installer this then had to be resized at our house. The gas installation man then turned up a week later, he then left having not finished the job. He then said he was going to come today (after I chased to get someone back to finish the job) and never arrived!Honestly the worst service I have every experienced, especially as the sales team suggest/insist you use Chesney's installers" which are outsourced and useless. Chesney's sales have been very apologetic and I have another installer coming tomorrow having to spend yet more time waiting for these guys - incredibly fustrating."

Nice product but poor and after sales customer care - they have a monopoly on spare parts for their stoves and charge £9.95 for delivery even if you order a tiny part. Exploiting existing customers is not a great business policy.

I bought a Chesney Alpine model about 7 years ago, although it has been out of use for at least the previous 3 due to a known fault with the handle whereby ash becomes lodged inside the threads of the bare and open bolt, which holds the handle. I have emailed Chesney's on numerous occasions but they will not help repair it. Terrible after sales service for an item I bought brand new and was very expensive at nearly £1000
