That's the best place for your recycling ♻️ New parking spots are more efficient and now you don't have to book appointments. Books, bottles, paints, electronic, white appliances, batteries included car, cardboard, metal, general waste and more. We use this side mostly Sat or Sun, no queues, no problems.

Yeadon Household Waste Recycling Centre
Still on winter hours until end of March .This site is well organised and I have never had problems getting rid of waste. I have a large vehicle which resembles a mini bus and would be subject to being a commercial vehicle which is not allowed . However I have a leeds permit and the guys on site are very helpful . They do check and when they see it’s a mobility vehicle I am ok on the site .I believe tho that now they charge a fee for the dumping of certain kinds of waste. You need to ask on site or go on leeds.gov.uk and look up waste and recycling

Not a task I particularly enjoy visiting the tip but made much more bearable by the member of staff on duty Satuday a.m 20th aug. Such a helpful pleasant lad who not only went out of his way to help me but in the short space of time I was there he must have assisted 4 or 5 other members of the public to dispose of their waste. Top guy !

Staff were very helpful and friendly we had a boot full of heavy rubbish and their help made it so much easier thank you! Tidy and well maintained and organised too.

Even during these times of COVID-19 it was a stress free experience, pull up and wait for no one to be using the skip and then dump your stuff. The staff were helpful and very friendly, despite being stood outside in all weathers

Yeadon Household Waste Recycling Centre
This recycling site is well run however; they are very poor at offering skips for recycling plastics that can and should be recycled such as polypropylene and polyethylene bottles, ice cream tubs, yogurt cartons, microwave food trays etc. After all, they have a skip for Tetrapak cartons, which are hard to recycle, but not other cartons. Most local authorities do so.
