Picked up over £160 of books for.less than £50. We arrived at 825am and the car park was already full, ended up parking the road across from Aldi and walking. We had to queue 2.5hrs, but this was made clear up front and most people coming here will already be aware of long queuesThe warehouse is set over 2 floors, with a massive range of children's books, cookery books, autobiographies, thrillers, romance. I came hoping to buy some fantasy and sci-fi books. Great selection of classic sci-fi, fantasy was a little sparse but still picked up some titles by Andrzej Sapkowski, Raymond E Feist and Trudi CanavanExpect long queues but a great selection of very cheap books. Lots of stock of everything available too

Visited here today with friends, it was a great experience to walk around and get books for 70% off. It is crazy popular now and there was a wait to get in (the line increased massively even after we'd been around the warehouse), but overall a pleasant time. It has become a popular location due to Tiktok and they were advising those against filming and posting on social media. Which is completely understandable. Staff were friendly and a lot of the public were super nice as well especially when it came to reaching books off of the top shelves. Bring a tall friend!Definitely worth a visit at least once but it can become very crowded in areas so please be aware of this.

Amazing place for heavily reduced books. Didn't seem to be a great deal of order to it so some books were in different places you would expect to find them, hidden around different genres but still great. Arrived soon after 1130 and queued for just over 30minutes. There didn't appear to be any disabled access unfortunately as it is over 2 floors with only stairs for access (Though I didn't ask to check if there was another option so hopefully there is some way to access it all). I'm not a huge book person but I still managed to spend £40. after discount and my partner got nearly £300. of books for under £95! Well worth the 2+ hour drive down. I would recommend eating and drinking plenty before you go as there are no facilities inside, though there is a Tesco express and lovely fish & chicken shop 5 minute drive away. Definitely grab yourself a basket and allow for a few hours of walking around!

Fantastic place! We went for 66Book Club open day and it was great! Well organised, queue wasn't too long (9:50 Sunday 10th Dec) so we got in after only about 15min wait. Everyone was polite, it wasn't too crowded inside so you could actually take your time. The range of books is great, not going to be everything you could possibly desire, but there is something for everyone! We even got some Christmas presents for the kids because the children's range is fantastic

This place is like a Mecca for book lovers. The staff were friendly, and the prices were amazing. The only let down actually, were the other people browsing the books. So many rude people pushing past others, coughing their heads off in tight spaces, and generally lacking any kind of empathy for their fellow bookworms. It was astounding.Recommend going super early or late afternoon. We got there around 8:20 on a Sunday (apparently less busy than Saturday), but also: frequent FB updates show 1PM is a good time either day.Have fun!

Amazing place and people. If u dont want to be waiting for longer than 2 hours, make sure you get there no later than 8.20am. Thousands of books but you will have to hunt for the ones you want. I also didnt get all the ones I wanted but also found a few new ones that weren't on my list.

Saw this on tik tok as they do days where it’s open to the public. Has a great selection of books although it’s quite jumbled and has no structure so don’t expect to be able to just grab what you want easily - you have to search. Also be wary of entry queues and limited parking - you’ll need to go early if you want to avoid the queues to enter and you can expect to be queuing to pay for around an hour to an hour and a half so bring snacks and water! Saved lots of money and bought lots of books - it’s a book lovers dream!

I'm here now, the queue was all the way down the road. 5 hours of waiting in the queue. Capacity is 150 and there are hundreds waiting in the rain. If people are staying in there for 2/3 hours, then the volume of people per day will not be many. I used to go there at least 3 times a year and they moved to new premises years ago. Been coming for at least 8 or 9 years. They obviously need to move again especially if everyone is advertising it and they can not cope with the amount of visitors. I'll try again but if I'm having to wait around for hours and it's cramped inside with visitors then I'll not bother again. 5 hours in a queue outside before you even get in there is a joke. They need to rethink how the business works...

Great experience browsing book. However wear comfortable shoes, there are 2 floors of, what I assume to be, at least 20+ shelves on each floor. You will be walking A LOT. The books are not in any particular order by genre, but they are organized and east to read. Being a warehouse and not a book store, it makes sense and they do tell you some information. Fiction upstairs, non fiction downstairs for example. You can use a hand held basket while shopping, but brace yourself because it will start to feel heavy as you walk around and joyfully shop. If you want to browse everything expect to spend 3-4 hours, easily, looking around. Very nice people work there and they are very helpful and informative.

I had a fantastic experience at 66 Books Ltd in Hemel Hempstead! This hidden gem is undoubtedly one of the finest book destinations in the UK. Visiting with my kids was an absolute delight – they were captivated by the wide variety of books available. It's intriguing that this place, primarily a trade warehouse, opens its doors to the public once a month. With an impressive collection of 16,000 titles, 66 Books Ltd caters to every literary taste imaginable. The staff, especially Nony, stood out for their remarkable assistance and kindness. Navigating through the extensive selection was made much easier with their help.Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with my visit to 66 Books Ltd. If you're a book enthusiast like me, this is a must-visit destination that offers an extraordinary range of books and a welcoming atmosphere.
