Future Teacher Training

I had a fantastic experience with Future Teacher Training. The training school is very supportive and is very invested in trainees mental health. The curriculum is very thorough and gives you all the skills and equipment to became an excellent teacher. I could not recommend this highly enough.

As a mentor, I have been able to support my student teacher in a very clear and structured way. The website used to support weekly mentor meetings guides our focus each week, making it feel achievable for the student. The trainers work very hard and are always on hand to help. The schedule can feel a little rigid and intense at points but I feel confident that the teacher training is of a high standard and will set up the student teachers for the start of their career.

I enjoyed preparing for my role as a teacher by completing the SCITT programme with Future Academies. The training was provided in a very good and manageable manner, the mentors and tutors were very knowledgeable and provided lots of support, to ensure concepts were embedded and there was effective methods in managing the workload. Tutors and instructors were approachable and friendly. I managed with support from the Future Team to balance work life, school life and family life as a mother of three children to complete the course with high standards. I was exposed to theoretical, practical strategies to embed in my pedagogical practice, lots of examples provided of effective teaching. All concepts were explained in depth and i was provided with engaging sessions. I made friends that I still keep in touch with and my Subject tutor, was fantastic. I enjoyed the passion that he showed in teaching young people and aspire to be like him. I would highly recommend this course

Future Teaching Training has been one of the best teacher training institutions that I have ever worked with. It is not for the light hearted as the pace is rigorous and there are high expectations of the trainees and the mentors. What you get in return is an excellent , well thought out programme led by knowledgeable practitioners who use current research to ensure that their trainees get an outstanding package of educational pedagogy. Wellbeing is also part of the package and there is an expectation that schools who use them consider this area too. I would highly recommend Future Teacher Training for both those who are considering going into teaching and for schools too as the teachers and headteachers who become mentors as part of the programme, will learn lots too.
