Sent my 30 year old mare to Hawkins to have her cremated and thought I was doing the best for her after her death that I could .................clearly not.........instructions not written clearly and they never took her tail as requested to get a tail platt. They phoned today to offer me the refund of the difference in cost. Like that will ever make this right. Makes me wonder if I am actually getting my own horses ashes back since they have demonstrated they are incapable of taking down the most basic instructions. You should be ashamed beyond words.

Absolutely disgusted with this company. Rude owner with no respect for myself or my horse. I had my beloved horse pts on Saturday late afternoon, the yard kindly sorted disposal so I could go home as I was understandably heartbroken.My friend messaged me on Monday morning and said Hawkins would be in touch for payment after 12.00. They called me and I paid no problem. I then realised I had 2 voicemails from them at 10.30am and 11.45am telling me that if I didn’t pay they were going to bring my horse back!!!!!I called Tuesday because I was obviously angry and shocked that this would even happen and was spoken to so rudely by the lady owner that I would never ever use or recommend this company to anyone. They should not be in this business if that’s how they treat people and their beloved pets. I now feel that the end of my boys journey was ruined by this careless company.
