Cawdor

My wife and I were in Llandeilo for some shopping as we were staying nearby with relatives. On the spur of the moment we decided to have a lunchtime treat and popped in The Cawdor. We were lucky and able to get a table without waiting.The food was excellent and the staff attentive but without being always hanging about.I had the gammon steak with an extra order of onion rings (the best I have had for a very long time) and my wife had the Mediterranean veg risotto with goats cheese.Hope the attached pictures do it justice !A step up from typical lunchtime “pub grub” we are looking forward to returning for an evening meal and drinks

Excellent throughout. Would definitely stay again. The staff knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Special mention to the guy who ran the evening restaurant service, outstanding.Finally the full breakfast was the best I have ever had in a hotel.Thoroughly recommend

We live locally and dined with visiting friends. Service and food couldn't be faulted. A lovely place that I heartily recommend.

Local to the area so went here for a evening meal - you won’t be disappointed. The food was fab and you don’t feel rushed especially with a nice break in between courses. The dining room more resembles a hall and my god it is so noisy! Ear defenders or plugs needed the next time we go! And it’s not exactly dripping in fine art. The walls are completely bare, needs a bit of work but in the whole, it’s great. Local car park nearby with plenty of spaces, free after 6 pm as well.

Celebrated my daughters 21st birthday last night at the restaurant. Well what a fantastic meal, everyone agreed that the food was delicious, well portioned and excellent value for money. A lovely building and a great find, we will be back soon!

Dropped in for a quick bar meal. Food & drink offer extensive & high quality. Building maintained to high order & finishes are classy. All staff friendly, smiley & knowledgeable. Great experience!

called up before we booked a table saying that a member of the party is vegan. they said that’s fine. we get there, and there’s nothing vegan available on the menu- we ask about this, and waiters have no idea what to do, although they were extremely nice and apologetic about it, and offered us a large salad. we said a large salad wouldn’t really do, because it’s just a large salad. in the end they just took the cheese off a starter and served that, and for the main nut roast they provided us extra veggies without butter on top. so i highly caution you if you are vegan or have any dietary restrictions- the waiters, and even the chefs, do not know how to react or accommodate to you.other than that, the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious. the staff were extremely friendly and tried to help in every way that they could.can be difficult to find free parking nearby.

7 of us turned up on Father’s Day with no booking, so we thought we would just have to settle for drinks and crisps. Sure enough the restaurant was fully booked, but they offered us a meal in the bar area. The bar guys moved all the tables around for us, and got a high chair for the baby. The bar service was great, as was the beer. The food arrived quickly and the roasts were delicious, with plenty of vegetables. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend.
