We had a mixed experience here.Positives :It was easy to gain access, the room and bedding were very clean and arranged to a good standard. Nespresso machine was great, shower was fantastic, really good pressure and instant hot water. Plenty of towels and some cute toiletries provided :)Negatives:Very noisy staying in Room 2 which is right next to the front door, inconsiderate/drunk people were in and out constantly and letting the front door slam all night, waking us both up with a jump. Ear plugs were provided but you really need a quiet self-closer on that door to stop it slamming so violently.As my partner slid the secondary double glazing panel down on the front window to close it, it fell off and hit him in the face, cutting his lip. We popped it back in, but that needs looking at - not cool at all.Hairdryer element gone - blows cold airDamp in living space = peeling wallpaper and flaking renderDamp in bathroom = mould on ceiling and wall.Batteries dead in tv remote and no controls on the actual telly to work itThe King bed" is two singles pushed together

Worst expirience I ever had.The room was not clean, dust all over the place. I doubt there has been som fire control in the hotel which in my home is illegal. The stairs are narrow and very dangerous. Rated 4 stars and that is no way. I don’t reccomend this hotel for anyone. I have travelled all over the world and never been in so bad “hotel” The price is way to high for this kind of quality.We had to change hotel after one night, could’t use this room, the hotel refuse to refund the four paid night we didn’t use.

My partner and I visited blok-74 for a weekend away, staying for 2 nights Friday - Sunday. We were sent the entry code well in advance & the accommodation was easy to find and access and very near the seafront without being too loud. The room was very small for the price (we paid £260.10 for 2 nights) and was full of dust. The mattress topper was covered in stains, and we ended up accidentally sleeping on top of this as the fitted sheet easily came loose from the bed. The room did come with useful amenities like a hairdryer, coffee machine and iron which was very good, but the ironing board under the bed was covered in dust which put us off using it. The bathroom facilities were also nice, clean and modern. Unfortunately, our sleep was also disturbed by a fire alarm being set off on Friday by somebody staying in another room. Overall, we would not stay here again, especially for the price.

Great little place, good location, clean today and modern finish. Unique rooms decor. Would definitely stay there again.Text communication could be improved.

very noisy, and in general way overpriced for what you get. it is 'ok' for a night (bring earplugs!!!) but it's really sub-standard. No air circulation (so it's closed box that gets very stuffy and one can't open the windows because of noise and safety (I was staying at the street-side room), the room was not clean and generally a tad run-down/worn out.

Looks pretty poor from the outside but inside is smart and modern.Rooms are small but well thought out with a modern finish. Staff were helpful and efficient. Can be noisy of a night but this is in the main bar area so to be expected.Room supplied ear plugs if needed but we didn’t use them.

The street it is on is extremely noisy until 3am. The hotel provides you with earplugs but even then you can hear the crowd outside. The beds are hard, and the pillows are thin. The bathroom was very small. Everything was clean. I would stay again if I was in Brighton for a night out and therefore out for most of the night, but this is not a place to get a good night's sleep for an early morning!

Had a two night stay, Thurs and Fri night. Thurs night a little noisy as it's students night, expected Friday to be noisier but not a peep! Great amenities in room, love the eco soap and shower/gel shampoo. Room could be cleaner, very dusty and cutlery and cups in room 6 dirty/stained. Only issue on the Friday night was very rowdy drunk guests, shouting from 3am - 6am in the hotel, which is small so you can imagine the noise. Other than that, if it was to be cleaner next time, would stay again. Great location in Brighton. Lanes car park a bit pricey but no other option.

Whilst I totally understand that booking a non refundable room and then asking for your money back when you can’t make it is never going to work, however valid the reason — there is also this thing called ‘empathy’ and this thing called amendable booking , my booking included being able to change dates. And so when I tried to book for any other date even 6 months in advance , they said no problem. It’s now £160 instead of £77 which was the cost of the original booking. So even for sept 2024 I get charged this crazy extra price .. I just think it’s a poor level of service in 2023 when people are struggling and times are tough. I have no option but to let the room go and bad service win. Sad times. Sometimes the losers win. Sometimes the winners lose. So long suckers
