The Fairways
The Faorways is great for a 'cheap as chips' carvery, and reasonably priced, but is unsuitable for those seeking a more 'classy' eatery.

Cannot comment on the rooms as we did not stay. Went for a couple of hours after we had been suit shopping for my son's upcoming wedding. I don't drink alcohol (medical reasons) and was on Diet Coke which came in the traditional coke glass bottle rather than being 'on tap'. We also had food. I had the fish and chips with minted mushy peas. The food came within what I thought was a very reasonable time, it was well cooked and presented, hot and tasted great. No complaints.

Safe to say won't return...upon entering was nice and clean came for somthing to eat for my birthday with my 3 year old son on ordering food we was waiting for over half a hour before the waitress come and then told us that they've not got what we ordered on the menu so then said can we do this instead which we said yes that's fine half hour later still waiting for food asked how long food will be as others who came in after had been served sat down eaten then left and we still not had our food asked how long again as my son was getting tierd was told it's coming in 2 minutes 20 minutes later still no food was told its coming out now 10 minutes later still no food wed paid for food hour and half later still no food left it and walked out was recommended by a friend but safe to say won't recommend and won't return

Went on fish Friday, lovely fish, chips and peas.Others in the party had steaks which were cooked right and tasted great.

Room very spacious BUT dirty carpet , wall and curtains need a lot of attention and the windows tooRadiator got two option cold or burning hot. No middle Toilet doesn t flush.Cracks on walls in the room and bathroomYoung man at the bar was lovely but cannot say the same about the young lady.The view from terrace was nice.But to go to the terrace be ready to have a foot bath .Could be such a nice place if taking care ofCannot comment on the food over there as i didn t eat over there

Had Sunday lunch, all fresh veg not frozen. Nice choice of three meats, beef, pork and turkey. Very good value at 2 for £10. The lager was a very reasonable price unlike the evening price. Definitely go again.

Went in on Sunday for a carvey and I would like to thank the chef ,who I was told is called danny, for a lovey meal. Excellent service with a smile. I will be back soon.

The room was very clean but the shower could do with a bleach clean to get rid of mould on the tiles altogether it was vey good value
