Dapper Dogs

Last minute booking and was lucky she had a cancellation. She never groomed a Shiba Inu but was more than happy for him to come. Warned her that my Shiba Inu can scream like a possessed animal but was still happy to proceed. She also somehow no idea managed to get my Shiba Inu on the blow dryer which is of same design that Pets at Home groomers use so she must have a magic trick. Fully equipped with professional gear and worth every penny. She also groomed my LabRottie at the same time who is a hyped up child on caffeine and sweets every waking moment. We used Dapper Dogs after realising we would have to wait 2 months to use our normal groomers. Oh how we wish we had waited! Our young cockapoo has a beautiful coat between 1-2 inches long and wavy which needed a cut. We had asked for half the length to be cut off leaving atleast an inch in length so he still had that ‘teddybear’ look. We take time at home to groom our dog and use products to maintain his coat to make sure he doesn’t get matted, so we were mortified at what we were left with after picking him up! After a quick hour (normally his groom takes atleast 2-3 hours), he was picked up only to find he had been completely shaven short to leave less than a centimetre in length of his hair and completely unrecognisable! We feel our request had not even been listened too and that dapper dogs had done what they wanted to do to his coat instead.

Disappointed. Was quoted £35. Groom took an hour. Upon collection, told it would be £40 as dogs hair was curly. Not the best cut, Different lengths of hair on stomach and legs. Was then told the difference would be refunded which it hasn’t been as no details were taken.

Excellent dog grooming

Great facilities and location, excellent stress free environment and I love the fact that Angela only allows one client at a time in the salon, unlike many other grooming operations, that rack them up in cages, to wait their turn.
