Garden Centre lovely beautiful Christmas items. But the cafe expensive had a meal one scoop of potato's or about 6 chips for a 10.95 meal a joke.I agree with us don't bother maybe if nobody buys it they might realise overpriced and small.POOR VALUE MEALS

What a disappointing visit today to the cafe. 1 hour 10 minutes in the queue amid a lot of disappointed customers. There were only 13 customers before me as well.Your staff were stood around talking and very slow in the delivery. One staff member was just leaning on th counter what the other staff member work.We had to order something other than the cooked lunch. This was another ten minute wait. There was a young girl bringing the other food from the kitchen to the table. She was outstanding. Polite, efficient and helpful. She appeared to be the only one doing anything. Maybe your other staff should take a leaf out of her book. Unfortunately I don’t know her name but well done to her.

There is a good Christmas decorations section. We had tasty buns in the cafe and took one home too! The gift shop is worth a look. The plants always look healthy.

A bit of a mixed impression of this garden centre, they had some nice plants at good prices but some areas need to be tidied up. Inside was OK but again, some areas are just too cluttered. We had p e lunch of a jacket potatoe which was good but my pulled pork cob was very poor. The pork was unrecognisable as pork, it was shredded down so much it was like a paste mixed with a barbecue sauce that overpowered the taste of the pork.

Place felt rather run down, and dreary. We went particularly to look for indoor plants but we were very disappointed with the choice. Walked through the Christmas section which was just being on display, some pretty looking items however the whole area smelt damp, so was put off buying anything, and decided not to visit the cafe.

Today Thursday Dec 7th DecemberTook my puppy with me and scanned the ( very cluttered ) doorway for Ward’s dog policyMaybe I didn’t look closely enough but, having just visited Ferndale and New Leaf where dogs are welcome ( except in Christmas decoration dept) I wasn’t expecting the ‘greeting’ we received!A small officious woman with short blonde hair marched over to me with her hand held up “ no dogs in here!’ Delivered with a scowl and no apology.I retreated, embarrassed and upset at her attitude and being said in earshot of those waiting at the counter.I was the one to apologise!!I found the small sign on the way out.Puppy back in car and I returned to buy a present. There was an elderly gentleman waiting at the til and I gather he had returned some faulty lights. The guy serving him was curt- bordering on rude and gesticulated for the man to go down the aisle where another member of staff could be seen. The customer was confused and worried that he wasn’t believed though he had his receipt.I took it upon myself to go to his assistance and we returned to the til where the server was again unhelpful and gestured to the TESTED sign on the original boxIt appears only one light ( of 200) lit up!!No apology no courtesy whatsoever and certainly no spirit of Christmas!!Why employ such miserable, rude people at front of house - in fact why employ them at all?We left together and I went elsewhere for my present where my dog was welcome let alone elderly peopleThe car park and shop was very quiet and no wonder!

Me and my daughter love it here. We mainly come for the cafe with its great options for gluten free menu. The staff are nice and helpful. They also have a good amount of water plants which is great for pond owners
