Hudscales Farm and Camping Barn

Really decent bunkhouse. Good facilities.

We recently did the Cumbria Way and found that the Hudscales Camping Barn was ideally placed for the final night.The owners were super helpful and went out of their way to help when we forgot our sleeping bags, thank you.We would be more than happy to stay here again, just need to remember the sleeping bags

Simple back to basics place. Everything you need. Stunning location. We did a biking weekend with the lads. Bbq and beers outside. Wonderful. Highly recommended

Cheap. Peaceful and relaxing!!

Large barn with basic amenities. Perfect for camping" in the lake district with the luxury of a wood burning stove and thick stone walls to keep you warm. The only downside is the limited walks in the immediate vicinity

This is one in a series of camping barns in our number of trips to the Lakes with a group of friends from university. We are aiming to complete the Wainwrights over a period of time.I'd love to tell you which ones are in the local area but I'm only a follower on this quest, ask Rich for more details. I think Blencathra is nearby, that was a good one but it was misty when we went - not sure if it still is.Would rank this as my favourite of our camping barns so far, equipped with enough space for 10 people, a pool table upstairs in a common room and a nice fire that we couldn't get going but the Scottish family we shared the place with could. They didn't really let us sit there though.
