My hairdresser of choice in St Albans. In the past 6 years, I have tried many hairdressers in St Albans from barber to very expensive. This one, for £15, I get a clean haircut, a good coffee, and few jokes. Always got quick appointment. I cannot speak for the ladies, but I definitely recommend it for guys.

A roomy and relaxing salon with a nice neighbourly warmth, thanks to the welcoming owners and decent staff.Frankly, my stiff, stubborn Asian hair isn't the easiest working material for most hairdressers. I had spent months looking around for the right stylist to tame it until I met Fuby, who's got chops and many years of experience under her belt. Highly recommended, without a doubt!

BETTER THAN SALON EXPERIENCE AT BARBERS PRICINGI've been a regular customer of this family run salon for the last 7 years.All family, father and sons are super talented hairdressers.Canali the youngest one, has gained his experience at Vidal Sassoon's in London, which on its own is a certificate of excellence matched by actual real life results in line with his credentials. They are all very friendly and professional from the time they pick up the phone to take your booking to the moment when you walk out of the salon.Regarding pricing, I have no idea how and why they do it! They charge barbers prices but give you a salon experience worth easily twice what they charge, spending at least 45 minutes on your hair and this is men's hair. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. Honestly I would be a customer even if they increased their prices by 100%!An easy 10 out of 10 from booking to execution"."

Completely ruined my hair. First coloured me greenish grey with ginger roots , after I insisted that it s not right they coloured me dark black with yellow highlights. After 3 attempts my hair looks horrible, dry,over processed and with greyish tinge. That cost me £125. Do not repeat my mistakes.

I have used this hairdresser for many many years, used be lots female hairdressers there&tbf I was getting bored with way they kept styling my hair, wasn't very trendy place then but was cheap&was happy enough. Then they left & a younger man took over, I was apphrehensive, but omgosh! He was the best hairdresser ever, he took his time listened to me, advised me, kept me informed so I understood through out every cut, I was in awe of him, I always left salon feeling million dollars&proud of my hair, I told him he should enter competitions, he was better than good, hours spent in there with him styling even staff head massaged. He should been paid top top salon rates but his price stayed same as last lot of girls cheap.then disaster he left sold on to these new owners.I was again apprehensive, but gave it a go as still cheapest around but tbh my experiences its to expensive for what it is.As time going on, they becoming less friendly, its clear don't want to talk¬ listening when I try and doing so as obliged to&I'm made to feel awkward, embarrassed,argued&commented about me&ridiculed me.iv had to many haircuts of the man owner that I have left with new clients coming in staring at me open mouthed state of my hair, ASA in car I brush out to get it to look semi normal. Each time I look like rod Stewart and 80s sky high on top short hair cut longer lengths,I ask for it to not be like that and each time happens. Get told only way can have, last time was worse ever i complained and asked for it to be fixed as was crying so much, and i refused to wash it as knew would be worse,i couldnt look in mirror or stop crying all that eve and next day,the lady his wife made comments that I always get it redone&don't like, truth is, the son cut it once and it was uneven one side lower than other naturally I asked for it to be even out. This second time I asked for correction, she did&I was happier with it&she ap charges more why?My son had his hair done here once he wont go back,he said she didn't listen to what he said wanted and he told her through out the cut, and ap she was doing favour by charging less as normally more. I thought coz she fixed hair before that this time do good cut listen to what want &worth the £but no, I brought in photos explained what want&no its abs awful , myPartner son said look nothing like pictured and first comment my son said was your hair looks like been hacked all over. I'm so embarrassed that I'm tying&clipping it back so noone can see, its nearly as bad as when he cuts it in fact its exact same thing again but slightly longer top&I paid much !more for it,nearly as much as other expensive salons?are they doing it to take mick out me?If anyone knows who the man was who ran salon before please let me know his name and if still hairdressing where is he doing it or his shop. Or anyone knows hairdresser that listens and cuts hair way want ¬ do same awful hair cut over and over .as all review all hairdressrs are bad and stupidly expensive.

Very friendly with a good age demographic of stylists. Whether you are a trendy student, busy mum or treating yourself after retirement, there is always a stylist to create your desired style!

I really like this relaxed, friendly and affordable salon. Jay cuts my hair in lovely long layers and he is very talented. Fubi is definitely worth seeing too if you want a chopped, funky style, she has amazing skills

Aalyah, Jenny and Louise at MJS have all cut my hair - always a great style that grows out really well. Friendly salon and reasonably priced.

I have been seeing Canali for 5 years now for my hair cuts and I am never disappointed! Best hairdresser I have ever had! Has complete understanding of exactly what the customer wants and will cut exactly to that vision! Also they are genuinely a really lovely family, always feel very welcome going into the salon!
