Home :: Thurlestone Golf Club | Situated in an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, Thurlestone is a fantastic location to play golf and tennis. Running along the stunning coastline of Bigbury Bay, this Harry Colt designed course is a mix of links and cliff-top terrain with the latter providing breath-taking views of the legendary Thurlestone Rock to the East and the beautiful Avon Estuary and Burgh Island to the West. The course is one of the most exhilarating with majestic rocky seascapes above the coves where smugglers used to operate. It is also ideal holiday golf - not too severe, with quite generous fairways but the wind, of course, can blow with a vengeance.

Had a great golf trip to Devon and played 3 rounds here. Course is amazing with fantastic views. Nice open fairways and good greens. Very welcoming staff in the pro shop and clubhouse. Enjoyed the Salcombe Seahorse, nice pint.

Harry Colt gem with a gorgeous front 9. Pedestrians everywhere along the course and proximity of tee boxes (old course after all) mean that you have to be quite vigilant as it’s easy to get distracted by the great views to be had. The rough is penal but the links style wide fairways afford plenty of leniency despite the constant wind that one must factor into every shot. Generally speaking worth the money and a v friendly welcome!

Amazing golf course, views on every hole.5 star treatment from start to finish. Definitely worth playing, greens excellent friendly staff , Definitely will play again when we return.

Great club with fab views over to Burgh Island. Seems a bit nestled in the hills on arrival but as you climb up the views are spectacular.Clubhouse is welcoming if you are playing golf...! Else, beware.(To be fair they must be plagued by tourists in summer.)Well stocked pro shop.

Picked the perfect day to visit a very special and wonderful place. The course was fantastic as was the staff and the food. You will not be disappointed with the views across the bay.

Nice course with wonderful views of the coastline, went on a beautiful day in Oct but I imagine it's pretty challenging when the wind blows.
