Kwik Fit - Chesterfield

Don’t take your car here unless you want atrocious service from a bunch of amateurs. Took my car in as it was losing pressure from one of the tyres. 45mins later was told that it was “all sorted, the problem was a leaking valve”. Drove away only to find that the tyre was nearly flat an hour later so took the car back. “Oh yes” said the technician (without even looking at the tyre again) “I thought this might happen as there were bubbles coming from around the rim. I’m afraid it’s your alloy wheel that’s defective and you’ll have to take it back to the dealer.” Very stressed we took it back to the dealer who discovered that the tyre actually had a nail in it! I lost 2 days use of the car, had to rearrange many appointments and spent a fortune on taxis all because Kwik Fit failed to diagnose a simple puncture. In addition they then went on to make up a totally fictitious fault on the car.

Came in with two damaged tyres ,at very short notice at a relatively busy time on Monday Morning. Chesterfield Branch managed to fit me in and resolved and new tyres on a reasonable price within an hour.

Excellent service.I booked my pick up truck in for a FREE brake inspection today, I arrived on time and was met by Mick (I think that was his name) he was very helpful and discussed the process, we left the vehicle with him and returned after about an hour, upon inspection it was found to be OK, apart from one brake pad having some damage, so I asked for quote and was quoted a reasonable price to fit new pads, he even said they could sort it there and then, all excellent service and very helpful. Thanks Gents.

Would like someone to call me regarding the cost of adjusting the tracking. The wheel alignment is free but to charge £65 to adjust the tracking is extortionate. I was watching the technician and it took him no more than 5 minutes to adjust and complete.

Apart from the cost of the tyres, everything else was excellent. The speed of service was incredible. I'll deal with Kwik fit again if I have to.

I have used Kwik Fit often in recent years and have always been pleased with the service on offer. I was able to make an appointment in advance, and the whole process went smoothly.

First time using Kwik Fit Chesterfield. Took a tyre in to see it could be repaired after getting a nail in it. Fantastic quick service. Will definitely be returning.

Disgusting and dishonest service. Avoid at all cost. Wife took her car in for a simple tyre repair due to a slow puncture as they were the only place that could fit her in on the day. Staff proceeded to lie to her that 2 tyres had 2mm or less thread left and tried hard to pressure her into spending over £400 to replace them. Even told her there was no point repairing the existing tyre. Car has since been checked elsewhere and both tyres have been confirmed to have greater than 3.5mm thread.Never been great service in this branch but expected better than these cowboy tactics, either that or they're just completely incompetent and can't even measure tyre thread depth. Either way they shouldn't be trusted with your vehicle.

Happy with the service also the mechanic noticed an old fault with my steering and offered to fix it whilst I was there. Will definitely use again in future.

Went for a free battery check, and they were very quick and gave me the results in about 15mins
