Valentine's Vets, Middleton Branch

My dog was poorly at weekend and not acting himself booked him in for an appointment on the Tuesday the vet saw him and prescribed him some pain reliever and something for an upset stomach. 6 hours late my dog collapsed and sadly passed away I'm hart broken and will not be going back hear I feel this should have been picked up especially after given his symptoms. I have been bringing all my pets to J&N for the past 30 + years as have all my family and most of my friends. I can not recommend J&N highly enough, they are outstanding on every level!!!!Unfortunately one of my cats was shot, it was very touch and go but thanks to the quick action & expertise of both J&N and the emergency vets in Bury Pepper made a brilliant recovery, J&N not only helped Pepper but they were amazingly supportive & understanding with me and my family during what was a very difficult time.

Had to have a pet put down today. As usual, Lynn the vet was brilliant... Reception staff also could not be faulted. Felt sad but was supported through the whole episode.

We have been a customer for at least 25 years and have always been satisfied however that was not the case on our last visit. Our dog was poorly so he was taken there only to be looked at not assessed in the back of the car and told to book him in to be put to sleep. This was then done but we cancelled the appointment we got another 2 weeks out of him. Vets should not prematurely put an animal to sleep. He was eating, drinking, walking. I couldn't justify putting him to sleep why would you. The cost to look at our dog fir 5 minutes and give him a few tablets was £94.00. When it was Jackson and Nuttall it was lovely it has changed for the worse. I won't be going back

No price lists displayed in the surgery or on line . I understand each pets treatment is unique but why can’t we see your general standard prices such as initial consultation, follow ups , vaccination packages , Standard procedures and some costs of medicines .

Really really rude receptionist. Phoned at 9am on the dot. Waited on hold for 15 minutes to be told all the appointments were taken already (apparently only 1 vet working that day which is horrendous) the rest of the phone call was disgusting. Absolutely unprofessional and needs a lesson on how to treat returning clients. Transfered my dog to a different vets straight after the phone call. I was given an appointment same day there. VETS SHOULDN'T BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.

Absolutely lovely vets! Helpful and very pleasant reception staff, and the vet herself was kind and patient and explained everything clearly, in fact nothing was too much trouble. Overall the best vet experience I have had in many years and would highly recommend!
