Old Hotel rooms are nothing much like on the Web, badly need reforming. No Air con and not clean. Restaurant and bar is nice. Not going to stay there when I return to Bristol. I could hear the guy snoring in the room next door!

Rooms are quite small. Quiet location near Clifton and Bristol University. Connected directly to Racks bar/restaurant - check their deals throughout the week. Yummy selection of breakfast options (a little pricey if not included).

Regused to price match and used what i had told them to immediately hike the price amd remove themeselves from the site where i had found the price.Spoke to me as though i was scum they didnt want there all because i had found a room there that was relatively cheap, literally scoffed at me when i was somewhat shocked by the difference in their quoted price of 800 fir 7bnights from the website price of 400.So basically did me out of a room i could have booked ,broke their price match promise ,all because i tried to do them a favour and book direct. No idea about the hotel itself.Im not well to do enough. We dont have rooms at that price sir

Needed to stay in Bristol for work. Excellent location for where I needed to be. The exterior is beautiful but the rooms are not in the best condition, stains on the bottom of the bed board and carpet not in good condition. Rooms are hot as well without A/C. Luckily the cleaning staff were very good and hotel staff are nice. Biggest problem is the Racks bar. The staff in the bar at night are very rude, have a terrible attitude, will ignore you waiting to be served at the bar and do other things while you are standing there. Staff in the bar rude when asking questions and very poor standard of service. It was nice that the lady on Breakfast was really nice and pleasant however. I wouldn't recommend the hotel overall, unless you need the location it is in.

Awful stay at this hotel, where I ended up leaving at 2am because I couldn’t sleep. To charge £89 for one night, for this room is astonishing.Firstly the room next door was watching TV which was extremely loud and I could hear it through the walls. I went down to reception twice and only on the second time it was resolved.Secondly the room itself was absolutely tiny with a small shower/toilet/sink pod. It was extremely hot to the point where I opened the window but then the noise from students nearby would transcend into the room. Finally, the mattress was just awful. It is clear that this mattress has not been replaced in a long time, it was extremely uncomfortable.I chose to leave the hotel during the middle of the night at 2am because I was so fed up. Avoid.

Please beware of this hotel !, the way my partner and I were treated after paying for 3 nights was utterly disgraceful. On arrival staff were unfriendly. Upon entering the room the mini fridge was empty and the room stank of smoke, as non smokers my partner and I aired out the room by opening the window, we informed night staff about missing items in the fridge and the horrific smell of smoke!, however the next morning the manger Katie who may I add is extremely rude and racist told us verbatim that we left the room in a “disgusting” state (that is unprofessional language to use with customers especially customers that did not contribute to the room being “disgusting”) then Katie the manager stole 100 pounds from my partners account hours after we had left without notifying us or giving us a reason. My partner then rang up to query the 100 pounds to which Katie proceeded to lie and say the charge was due to mess she then changed her story, and said it was due to smoking in the room. Katie was extremely hostile on the phone and began to shout. This left my partner in tears as this hotel stay was meant to be a nice break away. We were treated terribly! I do NOT recommend staying at this 3 star hotel.

Stayed for one night and it was a nice and comfortable one. Great location, decent value (must say I booked in April), and has a wide variety of bars, shops, and restaurants around. The members of staff I talked to where extremely friendly and helpful. For what it's worth, I do think it's a good place to stay in Bristol.

Absolutely terrible! Couldn't believe the service from the night porter. The night porter came in to the room to see if the lights were dim as it's very difficult to see anything around the room. He was so rude and obnoxious. The bathroom was tiny aswell. If I was you book a Travelodge or premier inn.
