Great range of drinks available at affordable prices. Cheaper than most places around and a much better pint. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Fabulous place for a function especially in the function room although bar area good to. We used both areas and staff were all lovely.Massive thank you to Ben who catered for us yesterday. Fabulous food.

Lovely venue, great quality drinks with alternating ales.Unfortunately the food isn’t a patch on what it was when the previous caterer was involved, which is such a shame as we’d regularly eat there on a Friday and Sunday. We gave the new team the benefit of the doubt once but after two poor meals and service we’d not go back for food.

A really lovely atmosphere and very welcoming people. Good beers, wines and spirits at very good prices. Definitely worth a visit.

Situated just off the high street. Last Fridays serves meal for Masons and wives/ widows/ partners. No parking.

One of the best bars in Chester-le-Street. An excellent range of well-kept beers as well as an extensive spirit range. No loud music so you can actually hear yourselves speak ! Open to all each evening.

They ruined my birthday girl's party, I said from the beginning that there would be children and that I would use the yard and the door, during the party I received calls and complaints because we were making noise, I said there were 30 of us!! it is logical that there is noise at a children's party!! the staff treat you so badly you feel like you've invaded their home ..terrible for parties I really don't recommend , probably they are not used to noise but maybe not these my offer I wasn't allowed to use a fryer for potatoes if you ask something the staff gives you a disgusted look ..if you don't want parties just accept from the beginning but don't ruin whole parties with your attitude!!

Went for Friday night meal, excellent value for money. £8.50 for main. I had spicy parmo with chips and all trimmings, husband had cod and chips - both excellent. Deserts were only £2.50 but due to size of main course we had to pass. Good selection of real ale - they are in CAMRA Guide. Only do meals on Friday evening and Sunday lunch. Best to book
