Decent pub. Good room. 2 real ales (a bit too cold for me). Room 1 above kitchen and the usual extraction fan. (Needs to be on at night?)

Amazing place to stop for a quick weekend break. The staff were amazing, the room was absolutely spotless and modern. Overall an amazing place that's dog friendly

I stayed at the Queens head while I was visiting the area.I really liked the town of Newbiggin by the sea. There is a large public bar and seating area in the Queens Head. The bar offered a very good range of beers, there were two cask ales on.There were bottled beers to choose from to. There was also a good selection of wines and sprits.I dined at the Queens Head and all the food we ate we really enjoyed. The pub was quite busy when when we visted with a good local crowd and some folks visiting.I stayed the night and our room was spacious light and airy. The room and barhroom was spotless.I had a very comfortable and relaxing night and a nice breakfast in the morning. Which is what I needed after a rather strenuous day before. This set me up well for the day ahead which alothough dificult went well.Would look foward to returning again.

Clean modern updated pub. We ordered 2 lamb burgers. Gin with flavoured tonic water ( my gin glass was filled to the very top with tonic water! I couldn't taste the gin at all - half way would have been better but the tonic came from a tap not a bottle) & pint of beer. The burgers weren't that hot and mine had a raw part in the middle. (I mentioned this whilst paying and said if a probe had been used it should have noticed this fault. I left the middle part of the small, thin burger on my plate. ) The pub had a few local people in, parking is available all around on the streets and free.

Food portion pie of the day was way too small, anaemic pastry, overcooked peas for Christ and sake and mash presented very poorly with clearly little thought. Other meals were good x3. Though lamb was stone cold. Staff very friendly and attentive. Chef needs to work on presentation if nothing else.

A great place to stay. The Queens Head is well located near to the sea front and the town centre. The staff are very friendly and made us including our dog feel very welcome. The room was of good size and had a large and very comfortable bed. We slept very well. The food was delicious and highly recommended.

You may be disappointed when you first pull up outside but inside it’s a really lovely pub, very friendly and welcoming staff, our bedroom is very large, well decorated, beautiful furniture, clean, and comfy bed, our dinner was first class super hot and delicious, our dog was given a treat too and just a short distance to the beach for a run!
