Lovely view. Beautiful weather made many of us envy those that lived in the houses on the opposite bank. :)

Boat house that sits in a key location next to the old bridge. Still a going work, and resource for the community.

We used the venue here for a birthday party which is a great location with nice views of Marlow bridge and church.I found the venue to be very strict and not very flexible here’s why, you can’t have any type of smoke near the building due to some insurance policy they have. This meant no smoke machine was allowed for the party (would of been useful to let us know beforehand) and no smoking was allowed outside on the large balcony.Plugging in your own setup (speakers, lights etc) is a massive pain as they only offer you one corner with 2 sockets, this meant we had to bring plenty of extension cables which isn’t ideal. Luckily we did bring a few but it still wasn’t enough for the setup we had so not convenient if you need a lot of power sockets. The bar was a very great service to have as you could get drinks right there with no hassle and pay with card or cash, however the staff came across passive aggressive and a little condescending. Drinks were overpriced (£5 for jäger bomb with fake redbull, £3 for soft drink, £9 lemonade vodka)As for music volume, they werent happy at all that we wanted it loud just like any birthday party is and they would come up to the speakers mid way through the night screaming to turn it down which is the wrong way about it if the music was too loud.Overall the place could be managed at bit better and improve the organisational side of things when it comes to the event.

Charming club which plays a big role in the community, Paralympics GB, and makes rowing more accessible for all.

One of the most active and well-run clubs on the Thames, especially for junior, para and masters rowing. Committee is highly competent and the facilities superb and still getting better. 2.5k stretch of river between locks only rarely has too much stream to row, and access to 5km stretch Marlow to Cookham when stream conditions are good via lock or for singles via portage. Senior squad is small, I think they tend to move away and come back much later which is a shame but probably largely to do with housing and jobs in this area. Keep up the good work Marlow!
