Have been coming here for a few months now for some knee issues and have been seeing Annette. She has always been very accommodating and listens to the problems and seeks to assist in resolving. Happy to say my knee has improved massively and she has recommended the areas I need to keep working on for continuous improvement. Highly recommend!

Update: misdiagnosed a slipped discI booked as had chronic lower back pain and, as advertised, expected physio advice as part of the appointments but only had chiro treatment and dry needling. The clicks didn’t feel to be in the areas that needed it. After two sessions and a consultation session there was no improvement.However, I went for a 1 hour sports massage with a little osteopathy elsewhere, for £35, and immediately the pain was relieved and was given strengthening exercises.I specifically requested that my card details were not stored. They were, which is a very serious GDPR red flag.Also, they don’t accept cash payments and don’t confirm the amount being taken from your card before processing payment.£59 for 15 minute appointments which doesn’t work feels like daylight robbery. My friend, who is an NHS consultant, likened chiropractic treatment to snake oil medicine - it doesn’t fix the problem but may give light relief short term.

Following a fall at work, all staff have been excellent in supporting my recovery. George has been 10/10 - very professional, listens to my issues and works accordingly. I would recommend the Medical to anyone.

My daughter Charlotte sees George for sports therapy and massage treatment. She's a footballer and really benefits from seeing someone who understands football and the common injuries and issues. George is very knowledgeable and share is knowledge and experience with us. She feels really comfortable being treated by George and I am very happy with how George looks after Charlotte.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend George to anyone. And, thank you for being such a star!

I have previously had little success or faith in chiropractors and physios after seeing little results, however The Medical at Downend have truly changed my view.I initially saw Catherine who sorted out neck pains that I've had for over 10 years! Now, I've been seeing Jack and Annette regarding a serious shoulder injury, and they help so much. It's expensive, but buying a bulk pack of appointments makes it far better value for money, and honestly I don't grudge paying as it helps so so much with my pain management and recovery. I honestly can't recommend them highly enough, and I always get a lovely chat with Val whilst waiting!

To date, and the two doctors I have dealt with, they have been exceptional.Their level of detail to understanding of the situation and treatment required to try and assist you in the right direction of recovery is great.The receptionist/s also are really good, they call you up to inform you of any changes, reminder of appointments.Highly recommended.

I have visited the Medical in Downend for a few years now and recently started seeing George at the start the year, for an ongoing knee injury. He has been Fantastic, always a joy to see and has given me some solid advice that has seen my knee go from strength to strength.

I had physio organised through bupa. The treatment was good but the problem was bupa agreed to five sessions and on my 5th I told the physiotherapist it was my last appointment but was told there was one more. I thought I had miscounted as she seemed positive. So as it turns out I was right she was wrong. I’ve been charged with no discussion even though I complained, £35 for an unauthorised appointment. I feel roped off with no redress. I’ve paid it because of daily reminders by text and follow up email. If anyone had actually talked to me and at least listened I would have paid anyway as I want to draw a line under it but not good business and a story I will recant at any opportunity. I don’t like being ripped off

George has been fantastic, he has got me back playing football after treatment for sciatica & hamstring issues, George has also treated my daughter after she dislocated her elbow, she is a cheerleader so it was imperative her arms are straight but after being in a cast for 6 weeks this was not the case, George managed to work his magic to straighten the arm plus give the confidence to compete again in a sport she loves, now competing with no need for elbow support which she is very pleased about.
