Brilliant styles and cuts with very reasonable price. Easy and fast booking over the phone and internet to avoid the wait. Personally I think it's the best around the postcode. There was a bit of a wait as I didn't have an appointment as a new customer, but surely will go back and pre-book when I am having a cut next time. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for good barbers.

Easily the worst haircut I’ve had in the last 10-15 years; no agenda here at all, just to warn others. I asked for a fade with a trim on top- it looks like a skin head with a tuft sticking up at the front. Will need to let it grow out for weeks before can go somewhere decent to get it cut into a style again. Just avoid.

Went in asking for a fade and a trim on top so i could keep it combed over, ended up walking out looking like a peaky blinder, they put a line along the side if my head with the clippers and then tried to tell me it was already there!Shocking barbers the staff should know better than to let the young in service guys try a hard haircut it's not on then to charge you full price for it, its completely put of order ! Won't be returning to here

Excellent barber.I hadn't been in a long time so wasn't even sure how to ask what I wanted. I was completely taken care of for a very decent price. Staff nice and friendly and are as chatty as you want them to be.Will be my regular barbers from now on.

I loved this barber shop when Mark was working there. Unfortunately, it’s recently been taken over and Mark is no longer working there, the business is now ran by what seems like Turkish owners.When I went for a cut recently I thought it was still owned by Mark as the Mark Powell branding is still being used but I soon realised that it was only Turkish staff working there and that it was no longer Mark Powell.I was optimistic that the cut would be good and probably cheaper but I was wrong. The cut was bad and the prices being used are Mark’s prices. Furthermore, the barber finished the cut in less than 10 minutes which is way too quick for a styled cut.I asked for a fade and I didn’t get a fade. I asked for a trim off the top and got too much off. I had to go home and do a fade myself with my own clippers but it takes a lot longer cutting it myself.The barber store needs a complete rebranding and the Mark Powell on the store entrance needs to be removed for misleading loyal customers.I can’t recommend coming here for cuts, staff can’t even do a fade.

Nice clean barbers servicing its clients since the mid 80's. Very popular with locals and its best to either phone or book an appointment online to avoid being turned away at the door. Social distancing rules are being observed and you will need to be wearing a mask before entering. Prices are at the higher end of average, however OAP discounts are available some of the week. Out of the 2 barbers located in West Derby Village I would definitely choose Mark Powell before the other.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, when Mark had the little shop down the road. I grew up, left Liverpool. Came back, no doubt in my mind where I was going when I needed a trim.Mark is a consummate professional. All the staff are. Their service and skill is second to none. Would recommend highly

I went in because my hairdresser is having chemotherapy and cannot cut my hair until January. I wished I had never ventured in there. I showed the person who was about to cut my hair a photograph of how I would like it.The scissors were going at a phenomenal speed, then the electric razor. Oh my god, it was taken down to the wood, all my lovely locks gone, I left looking like a turnip. If you value your hair don't go, unless you want to look like GI bone head.
