March End Lodges

It really is the little things that count...I had arranged for a floral delivery before our arrival and the owners were excellent in facilitating it all, which set the tone for the weekend.The Lodge was spectacular! Cleanliness was immaculate and the bathroom is incredible. Information provided prior to the stay is easy and straightforward, and the facilities were as described on the website.What I really appreciated was the inclusion of small things like additional kitchen items and utensils, milk & cheeky prosecco, condiments, washing up liquid etc, little things you may forget to bring on a weekend but would be useful. When you see these things infront of you, it really makes you appreciate how thoughtful the owners are.All in all a perfect weekend I would highly recommend to anyone!Thanks a lot!

We've just had an amazing week away here, in the Thistledown lodge. It's the perfect place for a relaxing break, and our dog Harry loved the private garden, which was really secure. There are two pubs in the village, which is about a 5/10 minute walk away. Both serve lovely food and are very dog friendly. Woolacombe is a 10 minute away by car, and if you don't fancy driving, there are 3 or 4 taxi firms to choose from. We would definitely return. I would recommend that you take some extra towels if staying for a week, as only two are provided, and it was difficult to dry them when using them to shower and dry off from the hot tub.

Simply stunning.Beautiful lodges, finished to an extremely high standard and the little touches make the big difference (John Lewis towels, Forthglade treats for the dog on arrival, Prosecco in the fridge).Our initial fear was size of the lodge and comfort for the dog, both were completely unfounded.The owner is attentive without being intrusive.We will certainly be back many times in the future and cannot wait for our next stay.

What a lovely little gem of a place, great lodge with underfloor heating very tidy and clean, bed was very comfortable we loved the large windows watching the sun come up and the fact the hot tub was under shelter was a bonus. Bottle of procecco was a nice touch we enjoyed that in the hot tub watching all the shooting stars. We just came back from a 4 night stay would highly recommend in a good quiet location easy to find would stay here again

Stunning lodge, very warm, really well positioned and built for privacy and comfort.Garden had a stunning view, was a good size and secure (for my terriers!) and the hot tub was a dream. In the lodge, the bathroom was huge with really comfy towels and robes and the kitchen was really well equipped too.Communication with the owners was great, timely, clear and well thought through.The village is lovely, easy to walk to the beach, and two great (dog friendly) pubs.Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful destination. Although the lodges are reasonably close to each other, they don't overlook each other, so if you enjoy a quiet, naturalist environment, you'll be happy.There are takeout deliveries available via justeat app.The plug sockets aren't fitted with USB ports so don't forget your chargers!Garden totally enclosed and my little dogs could not escape.Beautifully furnished throughout with a stunning bathroom.All you can hear are the birds, distant farm animals and the hum of the jacuzzi.Very tranquil.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very clean, well furnished, hot tub is amazing. Very private. Great stay.
