I have been going to Trainthatdog for many years and have always found the training invaluable. From the initial puppy training right through to adulthood. One gets out of a dog what you put in & that is where their experience & knowledge will help you get a dog to be proud of. I now have a Golden that has become an excellent picking up dog on the shooting field and a young Labrador that is really coming on well, all thanks to their training.

I have been regularly attending training at “Train That Dog” since February 2019. I have worked with trainers Louie, Belinda, Leanne and Carly. They have a number of training locations that they use to add both variety and complexity to the training sessions. My dog and i have learnt a lot and continue to learn. The training sessions are rewarding for both dog and handler. I would thoroughly recommend “Train That Dog”.

Had a fantastic one-to-one online session with Louie who took us through all the key elements of looking after our puppy. She then introduced us to core skills for our dog. Louie is clearly extremely knowledgeable about dogs and gave us so much advice that we are following. She was incredibly patient with all my questions and always gave clear responses. Really looking forward to the next online session to show off the new skills!

My Lab, who is now three, has been with Trainthatdog since she was six months old and I was a beginner as well. The training is first class for dog and handler, and we have progressed from Puppy to Novice gun dog and are now seeing the results in the working tests. They always take the time in lessons to help you individually and answer questions. I would definitely recommend TTG.

Train that dog has been utterly amazing. Louie is my guru and I couldn’t have had the beautifully behaved dogs without her patience and amazing friendship. I can’t recommend her training service enough. If you need help, Louie is your girl. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with her.

We did a consultation before our puppy arrived and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We’ve not had a dog before so we’re excited but nervous. Louie set us off on the right foot and I just four days our pup is good at night and doing well on toilet training.

Been going to Train That Dog since 2004. Brilliant training and Louie has enormous patience and really thinks through any problems and how to best resolve them. I have trained a number of my Labradors with her and they have all gone on to compete and to enjoy picking up.

This is a wonderful company. Lianne has transformed our exuberantly friendly Golden Retriever through regular training walks with other dogs so that she can enjoy off lead socialising with other dogs but she nowrecalls when I ask. I had one 121 gundog training lesson with Carly before lockdown intervened which we are still working on at home and look forward to doing more of.We have hugely missed these classes, both for the regular good practice for our dog and also for the chance during an hour and a half's walk in a small group to ask hugely experienced Lianne questions and so things began to deteriorate at home, not with recalling from other dogs or not pulling on the lead (which remain good) but an increasing host of other issues so I booked half an hour with Louie after sending a needily long email under the heading 'our dog is running amok again'. Prey chasing and stealing food were the two presenting problems. I found just one highly humorous Zoom call really helpful and I have another in the pipeline. Louie didn't dwell on my many failings but listened and helped me to identify what is working, but has been inconsistently applied, and also what will never work!I thoroughly recommend this company and Zoom tuition. I had worried beforehand that I would get 'locked into' an expensive regime of training classes, as I have experienced with other companies. Train that Dog couldn't be less like that. They share their huge experience in a light and fun manner and make very clear that i can come as often or rarely as I want and they'll be there if they can!

Just wonderful. It was our first puppy class and Belinda was fantastic. Put owners at ease and gave us all confidence despite the puppies being, well, puppies. What I loved was the constant flow of great tips and structure around each exercise. Lucky to have them local to us.

As owner of a now twelve-week old Springer spaniel, I have found the Online Puppy Course invaluable. My puppy is a livewire and I felt I needed to start on his training as soon as he came home, and well before he would have been able to start at face-to-face classes.The Online Puppy Class has helped us greatly: I really like the way Louie explains clearly and calmly the objective of each exercise and how the puppy will learn. I like that reasons are given as to why the exercise is done in a particular way, and what not to do and why.I have watched the video clips many times over, and it has been really helpful having Louie’s commentary pinpointing exactly the key elements in the video clips of Carly and Damson. I am very pleased with the progress I have made with my puppy over the past four weeks, and I feel well prepared for the face-to-face classes which we shall be starting shortly.I would also like to say how useful I found the preliminary zoom consultation with Louie the day after our puppy came home: being able to ask specific questions and get calm, clear answers from someone so knowledgeable, enabled me to reset my expectations and approach to managing the day to day aspects of life with a new puppy.
