Sam is a great teacher! he works well with all ages. I’m a Mum of two and have loved my own personal weekly music lesson for the last year. Sam makes lessons really good fun and your personal knowledge and progression is noticeable very quickly which is great. He’s a superb musician and his passion is infectious. Would highly recommend Sam!

I have been having drumming lessons with Sam for 18 months, and have enjoyed every lesson!Being an older woman, I thought I wouldn’t fit into the mould of pupils that I assumed would want to take drumming lessons, (young boys hoping to join a band one day). But Sam was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable.He is professional, very experienced and patient. My sixteen year old daughter has been having lessons with Sam for around 6 months and really enjoys the lessons. She is as enthusiastic now as when she started. As an absolute complete beginner who had never played an instrument she was nervous to start lessons but Sam is a really patient teacher who has taken her through a range of songs and really encouraged her to discover a musical side of herself that we never knew was there! My daughter now enjoys playing drums as part of her life and has a hobby beyond being glued to her mobile phone! Sam is also very understanding when GCSE work has to take priority and she has not practised much! Sam is a skilled teacher and I do not hesitate to recommend him.

My 13 year old son has been taking lessons with Sam for nearly a year now. He looks forward to every single lesson & always comes out excited to share what new things he has learned. Sam makes each lesson informative, fun & interesting always adding new skills & things to help challenge and develop his students . I had drum lessons throughout high school so I knew the basics but hadn't played for a good few years when I decided to pick up my sticks again back in August. After a few sessions of testing out what ground I'd already covered Sam has given me both refreshers in technique and reading music which I can tell have already vastly improved my playing and confidence in myself as a drummer. We have moved on to cover areas I've previously not had experience of including odd groupings in timing and practice with a double pedal. Sam is also easy going and we have a laugh in lessons which ensure I look forward to the fortnightly hour sessions, and Sam will also accommodate if lessons need to be moved occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances. Would definitely recommend lessons with Sam to anyone, either beginner or having played before, as his patience and genuine interest in all aspects of drumming make him a great teacher.

Sam is an exceptional drum teacher. Having bought my first drum kit a year ago, I reached out to Sam once I knew I was interested in learning to play properly. He was increadibly supportive throughout and had a sixth sense" for what skills I was missing! I told him I would be moving out of town soon

My son started lessons with Sam several months ago and he has come along fantastically. He enjoys going and Sam is patient and has great teaching methods. Highly recommend for anyone interested in learning how to play drums.

My son Jack started with Sam last year and has found lots of confidence since then, both on the drums and in the lesson due to Sam's methods interacting with him.I generally take Jack to the lesson and have build a good repour with Sam as well which makes the lessons a lot easier.A good teacher and a good person.

I’ve been with Sam at Estuary for about a year now, and it’s flown by. Sam is such an amazing teacher and player, and a really nice guy too! Would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

I have been having lessons with Sam now since January. Sam has been absolutely brilliant, he has a great way of teaching. He can play anything you ask him too and simply blow you away with his amazing technique and knowledge. Sam has patience of a saint. We do a different song every week and some of them I’ve never heard of,so it makes it a good challenge each week. I can’t wait each week to go to my lesson at his studio. Plenty of parking right outside. Sam is one of the nicest blokes you could meet and the real deal as a drummer. If you would love to play the drums at a good level Sam is your man. Any age. It will be the best thing you will ever do. Learn by a true professional.
