South Lamb Hill Caravan Site

If you want to chill out then this is the place to stay. Each pitch has it's own lockable heated washroom and toilet with an undercover large dish washing area at the back &a little decked area to sit out when the weather allows. If you're lucky you may see pheasants in the field opposite & (occasional deer I've been reliably informed) & the most beautiful sunsets. Hosts Linda and David are very friendly and helpful. Pitches are on a bit of a slope but blocks are provided. We always have our own & do not find this to be a problem. Telephone box at the entrance provides information about places to visit if you want to. We find it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We had two lovely days here last two days in June. The best fully serviced pitches we have seen, especially considering it's a CL. Great views across the valley in to Scotland. Really friendly owners and a nice welcome. We will stay again.

South Lamb Hill Caravan SiteThis is a lovely site. 5 pitches each with a private lockable toilet /sink room. The private toilet has hot water, a small heater and an outside sink and tap for washing up, right next to your pitch each pitch has decking and a water tap and great views across fields. Site is an adults only and is very peaceful. 15 mins from Carlisle. Owners are lovely and helpful. Fully recommed this site. Only thing missing are showers.

Large spacious plots with spotless private toilet and washroom. We are having a wonderful relaxed visit. We will definitely be back.

Having stayed a week at south lamb hill each day was the same. PERFECT. What a peaceful relaxing site with plenty of space great facilities and lovely helpful owners. Would I go back. DEFINITELY.

We’ve stayed with Linda and David twice now and have had an excellent time on both trips. The roads from the A7 are wide with good visibility - which is a welcome surprise for a rural location.There are 5 generously sized, fully-serviced pitches on a gentle slope - expect to have to level a little bit. The pitches are all west facing with far-reaching spectacular views with beautiful evening sunsets. We could gaze at those moody Cumbrian skies for hours.They’ve planted trees between the pitches which will provide plenty of privacy when established, but the decking on each pitch provides privacy right now too. It’s a farm location, but we weren’t disturbed by any machinery at all. Very peaceful, just the sounds and smells of the countryside.Each pitch has its own private, heated toilet cabin which was spotlessly clean and a real luxury. There was a shelf and coat hooks for bits and bobs and Linda and David had also printed out three local walks from the site you can choose from. There’s an outside pot wash and draining board - which we appreciated, especially after grilling veg and meat outside.There are so many walks and little villages to explore within a half an hour drive - plus there’s Kielder and easy access to the Lakes for more of an adventure.

Lovely site with the added luxuries of your spotlessly clean personal wash room and toilet along with fully serviced pitches. Stunning views, peaceful and surrounded wildlife.

A very peaceful site with excellent facilities. Linda & David, two lovely people, have it just right. Fabulous views from every pitch. We stayed for 7 nights and will be returning to continue exploring this beautiful area. Only our second visit to a CL site. The peace & quiet is ‘deafening’!

Lovely campsite next to a working farm.Views are lovely.We had the joy of watching the farmer rounding up sheep.Well placed to explore the area.Linda was very welcoming and friendly.Small exclusive shed/bathroom on each pitch with own key is a real bonus. The only thing that would make it perfect is a shower.
