When the bike arrived I noticed it wasn't selecting gears properly and assumed it wasn't indexed correctly, when I tried to index them I couldn't get the chain onto the highest gear. After taking it to be serviced I was informed that the chain was too long, the front derailleur cable was the wrong one and the internal routing was really bad and causing the front derailleur to be incredibly stiff to move. The front derailleur was also missing the protective cover, the brakes missing the bleed nipple covers and the cable for the front derailleur wasn't polymer coated as the rear one was which also added to making the shifting terrible. After being told by Tredz that they would pay for this (I was told it would take a minimum 3 hour service at £80 but the rerouting would take most if not all that time), they then told me that because I did not inform them it would be more than £80 (how could I until the work had been done) they will not reimburse me for the full amount of £175. The customer service has been awful and I feel very let down, especially after paying the money I did for the bike in the first place and then it being set up so poorly. Would not recommend you buy from them.

My partner and I walked into Treadz hoping to get a bike for my daughters birthday and was met by Jennifer. She was very approachable and answered all the questions we had with ease - very informative. The bike is perfect for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! Thank you for all your help Jennifer!

I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to Edmund & Matthew for going above and beyond in repairing my Lapierre bike, the bike is like new, and it's going to be such a boon getting back to work- cheers both, you're stars, Tredz is lucky to have you!

I have come to Tredz mostly for puncture repairs on two vintage bikes, an old Raleigh and an old Pashley for many years. Until my last visit I was happy with the service and the pricing. There was always someone who had some expertise in dealing with older bikes. This time I went for a puncture repair again and the Pashley already started to rattle after a few hundred meters on my way back from the repair shop. It hadn't before the repair. I did not want to go straight back again and just put up with the rattle, until a few days later, in traffic I pedalled without making the bike move forward. I then went back and the bike mechanic told me that the chainguard was loose, which apparently holds the gears in place. He tried to fix it, but the repair work already came apart before I even reached town. A fair bit of time wasted and still no bike I can cycle on ...To be fair, it might still be a good place for more standard modern bikes, but the skills dealing with older bikes some of the previous staff had seem to have been lost.

Just collected my new e-mtb. First class friendly and professional service by all staff. Special mention for Jennifer who spent ages answering all my questions. Knowledgeable, no pressure to buy convinced me I should. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend tredz cardiff.

I bought a brand new bike last July 23 and I have started using 2 weeks which barely done 5 miles. I did change the pedals myself. Although the right side was flawed and after installed the pedal has caused stripped thread. They wouldn’t cover it as a warranty!! Moreover I accepted to pay the part and guess what? They reply saying it will take 2 months to be delivered!!! They won’t even take the bike back and get me a refund. I will look somewhere else where I will try to repair it . Please avoid to spend your money in this shop!! Totally worthless and disappointed!!

Took an old road bike in for service and a few adjustments. Got great advice on tyres and options for the other adjustments. Very knowledgeable team, friendly and welcoming. Dropped by at 9.30, collected by 11.30 same day. Good service, excellent value. Absolutely recommend.

I had loads of questions about road bikes, accessories and the cycle to work scheme. Ollie answered everything and the team set the bike up for me and swapped some gear which I order too, including swapping the cassettes on my turbo trainer. Highly recommend

Very happy that I attended Tredz to look and purchase my first E bike.Charlie was great from the first visit, ordering the chosen bike to the shop which arrived on the 2nd day! I was then greeted by Jennifer, told her that I have no clue about these sort of bikes and was guided by her very good knowledge, pointing me in the right directions.Great staff!
