Love this oldy worldy traditional pub on Framwellgate Front Street.Samuel Smiths ales lager and Cider. Great local pub atmosphere. Locals welcome u and u find u easily join in with the banter of the town.Landlord Excellent too. Great sense of Humour.

It's been closed for over a year now. They have just finished a refurbishment but it's still borded up months later. Maybe they can't find anyone to run it?

Cosy pub with dart board, pool table, friendly staff and regulars. Has a beer garden in the back too.

Cheap drinks. £2.08 a pint. Good classic pub. Good beer garden out the back. Spacious inside with a few draughts on tap. Quick service. Unfortunately no contactless so bring cash. Locals are nice and dog friendly in the beer garden. Huge car park out the back.
