Southern Window Systems - Double Glazing Hastings

Southern window systems recently installed a glazed door for us and helped come up with an imaginative scheme to replace a garage door.Their workmanship was excellent as was the installed product. Very happy to recommend them.

Having ordered a new replacement front door and surrounding frame with side window . The composite door and frame were fitted to a high standard and the finish is excellent. Would highly recommend.

When our new back door is fitted in a few weeks Southern Window Systems will have re-done our whole house. I cannot praise them too highly. We are absolutely delighted with everything they have done for us in such a friendly and professional way.

We were initially pleased with the door installed by Southern Windows 2 years ago. However, sometime later we noticed daylight coming through around the frame (see photo which is a screen grab from a video), and the draught brush strip had been plucked out. They came out to my call very quickly, ‘adjusted ‘ the door and said tel hey would order the draught strip. The door was still not shutting properly and several months later and after a few reminders, they arrived - with a new drip strip. They explained the brush strip was non replaceable and after heaving and shunting the door, finally acknowledged the frame hadn’t been put in square. They repositioned it but then announced the top hinge was damaged and a new one would be ordered.That was 6 months ago and we’re still waiting. I’ve called a number of times and been told the supplier is slow to send replacement parts. If that is true, then that does question the quality of the product. Frankly, I’m fed up chasing. The door is now catching on the frame, scratching and removing the paint along the door edge. Overall, very disappointed and can’t recommend either the product or service.

I had to have a sealed unit replaced and used SWS because they are a local company. I was very pleased with the service and price, and the installation was efficient and quick. Should I need any further work done in the future, I would definitely use SWS again and I have no hesitation in recommending them based on my experience.

This is the second property where we've used SWS Hastings and they never fail to impress us. Great job, brilliant team with attention to details and amazing customer service.
