Swanpool Medical Centre

This GP practice is the worst of its kind. I have been trying to get fertility referral for IVF for over 5 months to no avail. They never have appointments available for patients regardless of the time you call or walk in. Even when you finally get an appointment with a Doctor, they are so impatient and quick to end your conversation leaving you more confused than before. The staff are nonchalant and unethically unhelpful. I would have given 0 star if possible, I do not recommend this GP surgery to any one.

The only Doctor I trust at Swanpool is Dr. Boskany. She's a wonderful, compassionate person. The only trouble is getting an appointment to see her. Good luck getting past the receptionists"."

Would give 0 stars, if I could. I am not sure why they are taking more registrations, they can not handle the patients they have. Impossible to get an appointment. Its been days now, they either hang up on you or are out of appointments 10 minutes after you are allowed to call. How is that possible? I guess, because they only see 5 people a day. Receptionist are rude and make the situation worse. Once it took them 8 months to take care of my referral, just to tell me they could not do it. Secretary never calls back, manager never calls back. Had to complain via NHS to get a response. Just really bad service.

Recently since the changes swanpool have been much help been trying for 2 days now to get in and I explained my situation and they got me appointment for the next day that brilliant it’s better than how it use to be

Waiting on test results, had a text message with an appointment date from the doctor to see him, left me quiet concerned as its about my kidneys to be told that my results are back and doctor is still reviewing them, the text wasn't meant for me and it was a mistake the appointment is for someone else with the same first name ? A week later and still no info on my test results

Waste of time even bothering to try to speak to a Dr here. The receptionists are all vile people with no empathy. Absolutely stuffed if you need help with anything remotely serious. Over 50 minutes wait on hold, to be chuckled at when you tell the receptionist in detail the reason you want to speak to a trained professional. I can see why the last two GPs I was registered under here just up and retired without even notifying patients their registered GP had changed. I only ever call when desperately needed so the latest encounter is the final nail for me. Worst service and care in the area by far!!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

I work 12 hour shifts, need to see doc, call up, gotta wait hours to get through, can’t do that as I only get 30 min breaks, 6 simple to reply to letters from dvla spanning 15 months were sent only to find out they don’t reply to that stuff as it’s private work and me constantly trying to reason with them my situation. I haven’t seen my doctor in almost 2 years, and you can never get through to who you need to speak to without them telling you call back on another day when they’re in, so I try find the time to do that during work and they take my number instead and don’t call back. Absolute joke of a centre

Receptionists on an absolute power trip. Never heard such a nasty, rude and condescending tone from a receptionist in any other business, but here they believe they're an amalgamation of police officers and doctors. You're receptionists. They'd have been sacked on the spot anywhere else for this type of behaviour.

The worst practice I have ever experienced in West Midlands. If you want to know about your blood result you should wait for doctor’s appointment for at least two weeks. While in other places doctors call you to tell you about your result to avoid further medical concern and stress to deteriorate your health.Just poor medical practice!
