There is no feeling like it, finding your wedding dress for your most magical day! When an alteration is needed for such gown you put your trust in personnel that offer such a service. So when my dear friend this week was faced with her beautiful dress altered without first being pinned just cut she was understandably upset - your company's approach in handling this was unbelievably unprofessional.

I have been a customer of this atelier for a long time and have been previously happy with the service. I left a cardigan to be sown back together a ripped part and to patch a whole on a poncho, back in December. I collected it in a couple of weeks. The poncho had cut marks while cardigan had whole made by moths. Safe to say I was not happy with the work done. The items also had a bad smells. To add to that, they also took payment from me twice, despite me showing them that the first payment had gone through! Afterwards they made me return for a second time so as to return the money! To put a cherry on this whole debacle, when I showed them the issues that I mentioned earlier with the cardigan and the poncho, they laughed at me! They didn’t apologies for any of the issue mentioned above that were done due to their mistakes. I am not in the habit of writing reviews, however I am doing this out of principle so as to make sure any potential future customers are aware of this.

Crazy expensive! Replacing a zip cost £28!!!

Reasonably priced clothing alterations. I used it for my wedding dress, very quick turnaround and beautiful work. They also make custom gowns.

I’ve been very impressed with the quality of Lynda’s tailoring and expertise. As soon as Lynda saw my jacket she new how it need altering, the fit is now great.My husband took a heavyweight wool tweed jacket in for alterations as it was too big in the back/waist, it came back looking like it had been custom made, perfect fit

After having my Dior jacket ruined by burn marks at a party, Dior Paris tailors wouldn’t take on the job as the damage was too severe. After taking my jacket down to The Fashion Workshop the team of ladies had repaired my jacket with no evidence of the original damage for a fair price and within a weeks notice, ready for another party. Would highly recommend and I will be using them in the future for sure.

Extortionate service. Initial estimate from the dress seller was approx £100. Their invoice was £200. Then a further alteration because the initial job wasn't completed 100% then led to a further £100 . obviously that's ridiculous when the first job wasn't done to satisfaction.

What a find; The Fashion Work Shop. They designed & made my exquisite wedding dress, highly intricate couture gown later featured in a news paper. Great value & alteration express service is second to none, so many golfers including my husband take their trousers in here.I have since had a pony skin coat & blazer made, everyone stops me & asks when I wear them. Lynda is just fantastic, so creative, great value, no need to go to a bespoke London Taylor when you can pop to Ascot.Highly recommended.

A fantastic service - professional, fast and expertly finished. This is by far the best tailoring in the Ascot area.My husband has had trousers altered, I've taken in dresses and trousers. Everything has come back exactly as expected, and always for the quoted price. Never a surprise. Yes, they are pricey. But you get what you pay for, right? I'm not going to give a designer dress to the local dry cleaners…here I know it will be done perfectly. And we are willing to pay a bit more for that.Another great service is that they are brilliant at sewing in name labels - which we happily have them do before the kids head off to boarding school each autumn. A service this mother loves!

I don't usually write reviews but I would want to know about this if I was looking for somewhere that did alterations.I took my dress in and asked them to take the hem up at the front but leave it long at the back. I went a week later to pick it up and they'd cut the fabric and stitched the bottom so that it was the same length all the way round. They said they could make it slightly longer at the back but it would take 30 minutes. I needed to take the dress straight away and the difference was minimal compared to what I'd requested.The lady working that day was nice enough to not charge me for it. I noticed the stitching was coming undone but I had to wear the dress anyway. The stitching ended up getting stuck on my shoe and the hem came undone on one side so I took it back to ask them to sort it for me and Vlada said it was my fault and they would charge me to have it redone, even after I told her about how they had already messed it up.I wouldn't go back there again because not only did they not do what I asked in the first place, but they also wouldn't fix it when it came undone.There's a lovely lady on Brockenhurst road who did an amazing job when I gave her my jumpsuit to alter, so if you need anything done I would recommend going to her instead.
