Julia is an absolutely incredible groomer. Because not only does she do a great job, she is also amazing at calming my dog and working at a pace that suits him. She always puts him first, so I am very comfortable knowing that he’s in safe hands. He used to hate being groomed until we changed to Glorious Grooms. Absolutely superb service.

We're really pleased with the friendly service & care taken with our two young dogs. One of which is nervous & can be grouchy, the other is very bouncy! We're always satisfied with the end result of our boys grooming. Julia takes the time & care to make sure they are comfortable & never pushes beyond their level of comfort. Julia has been grooming our labradoodle Bailey for the past 3 1/2 years and has also been taking care of her teeth for the past year for us. Bailey loves visiting Julia especially when her friend Obi is there to greet her! Julia always has Baileys best interests at heart, giving us advice on how to best take care of her coat. We couldn’t recommend Julia enough (and often do when we bump into people with similar dogs who want to know who has cultivated Bailey’s big fluffy tail!)

My Cockapoo, Lottie, has been going to Glorious Groomers for four years and has always been beautifully groomed. On day one Julia explained that she would groom taking into consideration Lottie’s tolerance. In other words, it is always about your dog, and their care and wellbeing is paramount. Lottie hates her tail being brushed so sometimes , because I have been negligent and her tail has become matted, Julia has had to tackle it by trimming it very carefully. She has always managed this with the utmost care. The end result is always a tangle-free tail. Lottie always loves spending time at Glorious Groomers.

Julia has been cutting the nails of my nervous rescue dog Sophie for over a year now. They had grown very long as she was a street dog, and Julia has gradually been able to improve their shape and shorten the quick. Sophie was terrified of having her paws held, but Julia is so calm and kind, and she is now happy to have them cut, and shaped with the grinder. We have now moved on to teeth cleaning too! Julia was recommended to me and I very much recommend her to others!

Julia has been grooming Rosie, my very energetic 4 year old cockerpoo, for 2 or so years now, and more recently, teeth cleaning. Rosie is very excitable and has a low attention span which is challenging. However, Julia has shown the utmost patience and care with her - she is so calm which reflects in Rosie's behaviour - and she loves Obi !We are happy to have found Julia!

We have been visiting Julia for the last two years, she is kind, confident and caring with our dog Nelly and extremely talented and knowledgeable. Nelly was really nervous to start with but now is happy and calm when we visit due to the gentle calm approach Julia has with her. Thank you Julia for always looking after Nelly and caring as much as you do. X

My Berry before and after. Did not want her scalped before winter as I didn't want her to get cold . An experienced groomer would not do a severe cut just before winter. We were not advised how severe the cut would be. Poor little mite's belly was sore . We were led to believe that Berry was in for 4 sessions to help with the tangles as her coat was like cotton wool. I am persueing the matter further.

I've been bringing dogs to Glorious Grooms for over 5 years - both my own, and dogs in the care of the rescue I volunteer for, HelpingHounds. Julia donates her time to the rescue's dogs. She is incredible with nervous dogs and will take as much time as is needed to help a dog relax. Every dog I've taken to Glorious Grooms is treated with the utmost care and attention, including some very badly matted and neglected dogs. Julia took the time to explain how matted fur causes discomfort and often pain for a dog and why it was necessary to cut one of our rescues very short. A good owner knows that a dog jacket is an excellent solution to keeping a dog warm in cooler weather and that its better than leaving a dog in pain with a still matted coat. Julia has been grooming our boy cockapoo for 4 years, since his first gentle puppy groom with her. He loves going to her and gets very excited when we arrive. We have a groom every 6-7 weeks or so. He always has a lovely cut and smells wonderful. Julia has great attention to detail, noticing a slightly swollen toe that we had not noticed (grass seed) several years ago. She’s open and honest about not forcing an unwilling dog to be groomed and not pushing a dog past its limits if matting is bad etc. Julia herself would probably admit the location is not great at the moment with building work happening, but we go for her, not the location and are happy that our boy loves going to her.
