Quirky Campers - Campervan Hire

A cosy long weekend spent with Sandy!Full of rustic charm and crafted with love.My teenage daughter and I collected Sandy from beside a café on a busy street in Swansea. This may initially seem like an odd location to collect the campervan, as I admit at first I was a little surprised, however upon meeting one of the owners (Steve) it soon unfolded why this location was chosen. Steve is part of a local craftsman cooperative situated behind the café, and his carpentry skills were put to good use in Sandy – as well as during the refurbishment of the café interior, which he proudly showed us over a coffee. Steve saw to all the paperwork and helpfully guided us around all that Sandy had to offer before sending us on our way.Sandy’s interior is beautifully crafted from reclaimed wood – the layout and design has been constructed with usability and functionality in mind, as well offering rustic and charming aesthetics. The floor is boarded out and I found this particularly charming and unique. The finishing touches are in shades of blue – a colour theme which extends to the cutlery, accessories… and even the kettle!Sandy has everything you would need for a long weekend or short break. The van is equipped with a gas hob, sink and small fridge. The kitchen area is stocked with all the cups, pots, pans, cutlery etc you could need. Even small touches have been thought of such as hand cream and handmade soap. The van is fitted with a double rock and roll bed that is easy to set up – it literally takes 20 – 30 seconds to pull out and put away. There is also additional sleeping space in the roof area, which is set up by pull out boards. The mattress is neatly stowed away in the rear area of the van. The front seat can pivot and rotate to become an additional seating area which really helps to make the van feel spacious and comfortable. You could even have the bed down; the seat rotated and still have room to manoeuvre around the kitchen area.

Loved the bus. Great handover from Steve. Passionate bloke and a great fit out in the Vdub. Highly recommend - everything you need for a great time away. We were gutted only to have a weekend!

A full 7 days spent driving Sandy in Wales (from south to north and back down again!). There were three adults (including 6ft 4 brother!) travelling and we had plenty of room with luggage. Great handover from Steve. He is clearly very passionate and gives off very positive vibes! The van worked perfectly as a living and travelling space! Couldn't have asked for a better service! We had a great 10 days adventure with Sandy. This was our first time renting a camper van and we think it is not the last time we did it. Sandy was just a perfect van for us. She was really easy to drive and we took her from Swansea along the coast all the way up to Snowdonia NP.She is equipped with everything you need. The interior is fantastic, very well planned and built in and we love the fact that interior is made of recycled wood. Pick up and drop off was smooth. Our hosts Amina and Steve were lovely and very helpful and we are very grateful for what they did for us.Thank you Quirky Campers as well. You all rock!

Sandy was absolutely lovely. A truly considered, practical and individual campervan, obviously created with so much love! She mastered the hills of Snowdonia, kept us warm at night and allowed us to create to culinary genius! The campervan has everything you need, we could not recommend it more!

Such an amazing few days with Sandy. Three of us, two adults and a three yr old were very comfortable. We loved every moment of it and can highly recommend this camper.

Super weekend with Sandy! No problems with booking or picking up, everything is perfect working order and perfect for a roadtrip. We were 3 staying in the campervan, and the third person had a bit of a squashed sleep in the top bed - I'm not sure if a 4th person would've fit comfortably, but it's definitely possible.
