The meal was lovely, the steak Diane was cooked to perfection. The portions also were very good. Service was a bit slow and disappointing as I had mentioned in the reservation that it was a birthday celebration and there was no special mention of it by the staff at all.

We ordered three different dishes schnitzel, steak and gurnard from the specials. Fish was (somewhat unusually) undercooked being raw and chewy at the thick end. Steak was rarer than ordered. All three meals were accompanied by a very small handful of dressed rocket. How can this be the best side for all three very different dishes? Were there no other vegetables in the kitchen? Nothing on the plate to make the dish special or celebrate what is sold as the highest quality steak or a special, if badly cooked, piece of fish. I appreciate it is quiet midweek but that should not affect the quality of dishes being offered. For a meal on the pricier side of local dining, I would expect more.Service by our waitress and bar staff were excellent though and the range of beers was good. Probably why so many people were drinking and not eating.

This is a nice pub for outdoor seating and it has a nice feel inside too. The food is average and therefore expensive for what it is. Over £100 for a 3 course meal for two would be fine if it was above average for the food. I had the calamari to start which in my opinion is frozen, the small bits are all the same size with a weird fatty flavour. This came with rocket and a dressing which again I would not say was nice. My main I had the red mullet, the fish was lovely however, it came with the same side of rocket & dressing ugh, and plain boiled potatoes. Safe to say I only ate the fish. For desert yum!! Pear tart Tatin. Highly recommend. This is purely feedback as this is a nice pub with friendly staff however, I wish the food was better as my local I'd return more than a couple of times a year.

Went to the Swan for a Birthday celebration. Food was excellent and the service absolutely outstanding. At a time when I know that hospitality venues are struggling for staff, a real tonic to get such service. Heartily recommended

Such a little hidden gem. The food was wonderful, service friendly and helpful and a lovely space to enjoy good company. Dessert was lush and iced coffee yummy!

We’ve been to the swan many times and most recently for a Sunday roast, but something seemed to have changed this visit. Food seemed greasier, the extra spuds and yorkshires they used to offer had stopped, atmosphere was lacking but possibly because of how quiet it was? Pork seemed fattier and thinly sliced. Crackling the size of a stamp. However the lady serving us was attentive and polite. Sadly not sure it’s worth the price anymore and won’t be rushing back.
