Deep Blue Fish & Chips

Great quality and used to be our go to fish and chip shop, but portions and prices are getting ridiculous. Ordered a large chips and got this.. about 30 odd chips. Just a year ago used to get 3 times this. Over 10 quid for a sausage, fish cake and 30 chips. Way too much money for that

Extremely Disappointed with Food Quality, Taste, and Portion SizeI recently ordered a regular cod and chips with curry sauce from Deep Blue, and my experience was nothing short of a let down. Not only was the taste far from satisfactory, but the portion size was shockingly small for the price paid. The total cost for my order was £14.17, and I feel like I was short changed on both quality and quantity.The cod I received had an unfortunate texture that suggested it had been fried twice – once earlier and then again just before serving. This double-frying technique resulted in a dry, overcooked fish that left a lot to be desired. Additionally, the size of the cod was disproportionately small for the steep price I paid. It felt like a mere appetizer rather than a substantial meal.To make matters worse, the chips were disappointingly stale and lacked any semblance of flavor. Biting into them felt like chewing on rubber, and the staleness only added insult to injury. It's disheartening to think that I paid £14.17 for a meal that not only failed to meet expectations but also left me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed.The lack of quality, taste, and portion size has left me with a sense of regret for choosing to order from Deep Blue. I had hoped for a fulfilling meal, but instead, I received an underwhelming and inadequate experience. I am compelled to share my negative encounter with others, as they deserve to be aware of the subpar offerings at this establishment.In conclusion, my visit to Deep Blue was a complete disappointment on multiple fronts. The unsatisfactory taste, small portion size of the cod, and the stale chips have left a lasting negative impression. I strongly advise others to seek better options, as there are certainly fish and chip shops that provide superior value for your money. Steer clear of Deep Blue if you're looking for a satisfying and enjoyable meal.

Shame, the reviews on here are misleading.. Went on and I ordered some chips and a batted sausage, and curry source. Almost 10 pounds, not many chips but worst of all were the chips, they just were cooked through and just overcooled. I think other than the price being over bored, if the chips were not over cooked, that would have bee a great meal.

Upon my visit, I found the food more than satisfactory. The taste and the portion was fair and definitely worth the price. The service felt welcoming therefor making the atmosphere pleasant. I got served this afternoon by a lady called keely, who I found easy to talk to, very kind and warming, who wasn’t just focused on the work, but also made an effort in making conversation with myself (very sociable). With all that being said, I would recommend anyone to stop by and I myself will definitely be returning .

Actually I am not fans of fish and ship but here I can confirm is fresh and beautiful flavor. Love it.But sometime you need to wait a little bit longer when staff have only 2 people. I take time to wait about 20 minutes however worth it!!

Stopped in here on the way through town yesterday (Monday June 3rd) as I am from Canada and just passing through to visit some family, got some take out and let me say WOW! Food was fantastic, portions on par with most places, certainly wasn't hungry when I was done eating. Service was great too, if you're ever in the mood stop in and see Keely, she will take great care of you and your order. Thanks Deep Blue and Keely for a great experience!!

I live on the Isle of Man, but regularly travel to visit family in MK.Deep Blue is a must when I visit. Always fabulous quality food, brilliant friendly service. Cannot recommend enough.Thankyou to Dawn for another top notch dinner for my mum and I.I need to not have lunch next time! We were stuffed!

I collected an order which was (easily) placed and paid for online. The staff member who greeted us was friendly and cheerful. Dawn then completed our order quickly to take away. The food was hot when we got home. Fish tasted great.

When you pay just over £18 for large cod and 2x chips you expect good quality and freshly fried food. Far from it! Refried fish, dry and chewy. So disappointing and poor standards. Used to be our regular chippy. Last couple of times it's been an expensive let down. Not going back
