London Cheesemongers

If you are from the states you know our cheese game is trash. Do yourself a favor and stop here for monumental cheese. Unlike others I found the service to be excellent. We were not rushed and received fantastic recommendations on some fruit pairings.

I was so pleased to find a shop with the exact cheeses I liked and a few others potentially of interest.. or so I thought. This shop is set in a charming area, and it's unfortunate that the cheesemonger's attitude was so contrary to the setting and offerings. Since he was unable over the course of a few minutes of stopping himself from scolding me and putting me in my place, I had to leave without purchasing. I would not return and will plan to continue purchasing from establishments like Neal's Yard, with greater choice and more pleasant personnel.

A very unpleasant experience. A staff member was so rude to my friend and I. We are both pregnant in our 3rd trimester and sat down to rest for a few minutes - a staff member came out and screamed at us asking us to move and threatening us. I would have hoped for more respect and courtesy towards 2 pregnant women - even if he wanted to ask us to move.

I loved the selection and team’s knowledge. They were immensely great at recommendations.

Went with my family to eat his “world famous” cheese grilled sandwich. Instead, met the “worst ever” cheese store owner. After purchasing 3 of the suppossedly “world famous” cheese grilled sandwiches, the owner did not allow my neuro-divergent son (who was having trouble coping with extreme sunlight) to stand (let alone sit) to eat his sandwich in a small table by the shadow in front of his store. His kicked us out (citing the tables in front of his store could not be used), and we were forced to eat his mediocre sandwich sitting in the sidewalk. After reading all the reviews, he will become the “world infamous” man. Afterwards, we saw him sitting with his friends in the exact same table which he did not let my son stand (let alone sit) to eat his sandwich. Total arrogance and lack of empathy.

I was queuing for a coffee next door and saw the gentleman who works here scold two pregnant ladies for sitting infront of his shop to rest for 2 minutes. He was very rude and disrespectful to them and threatened to move them by force if they didn’t. Another passerby told me he is infamous for being rude to people. This is unacceptable behavior and should not be tolerated in a civilized society no matter who you are!

Discovered this beautiful shop on a random walk. Staff were incredibly friendly and kind, we sat down in front of the shop on their table with a view of the quaint street and enjoyed the delicious cheese and wine.

Very charming and authentic cheesemonger. They have new cheeses rotating every week and really know (and love!) their stuff. And try the cheese tasting - with wine pairing - upstairs. Cheese boards for £12-14 and wine by the glass for £8-10

My absolute favourite cheeses in London! Everything I’ve tried from this shop has been fantastic.The Coolea has become my staple cheese at home, and the Parmesan is the best I’ve ever tried (I literally didn’t realise Parmesan could be this good).Trying the mozzarella today!Service has always been excellent - every recommendation has been 100% spot-on.

From the states but lived in Europe for a time so know good cheese. This shop is fantastic. Knowledgeable cheese monger who took time with my friend and I to explain regions the cheeses came from and also different processes to make some of the options there. Plus we got to sample everything we asked about plus recommendations from the cheese monger. Ended up bringing home a delicious burrata. Do pop in if you’re in London!
