Greyfriars Day Nursery
Terrible staff and Bad Covid managementThe nursery has a lot of Covid case during December 2021 until Febuary 2022. This lead to close the room and parents still was charged for the room closure.Staff are not took care of children comparing to other nursery. My child attend the nursery for 2 months but no observation report in the Tapastry system.

My son started going to this nursery during the pandemic when he was 9 months old. He is now almost 2.5 years old and his development under the care of the very friendly and professional staff of the nursery has been incredible. He has a food allergy and yet we never had any issues which goes to show how careful and attentive the keyworkers are. Both staff and management have always been very accommodating, always willing to help. I would strongly encourage you to not just read the reviews, go and see for yourselves before you make a decision.

My child has been going to this nursery since the age of one. Had a very positive experience, my child got along very well with the nursery staffs. The nursery provides frequent updates on child development. My child has grown with confident.Even during the weekend my kid misses the nursery time.

I write this review after successfully completing one whole year for my son with grey friar's nursery.Being a covid baby my son had a tough time settling in the initial days . He has terrible separation anxiety for almost the first two months. But he quickly settled in once he shifted from nursery to preschool.Only to be followed by a bout of severe allergy flare up later identified due to pollen and nut allergies. We had a tough time managing our work and him but the staff was extremely professional and courteous in every way throughout the year. The entire credit of my son's successful personality development goes to Lauren and her team. (Mel, Rhiannon,Mel,charlie, Lucy, mia and pastor Diana). They never turned away from tending to him. From collecting him in crying, clingy and cranky conditions of initial days to transitioning his personality with warm hugs, smile and cheery mood. I have always found him in loving arms, playing and dancing and teaching him till his last day .I will never forget, on his first day I was so worried when I gave him away crying that I decided to hang around the nursery gate without them knowing about it so that if required I am a call away. And the next thing I see is him being held in the arms of his teacher, in a high vis safely cuddled and his teacher constantly wiping his tears and runny nose with so much love. He held on so tightly on being introduced to group Music song time while other kids chatted away jumping up n down. I watched them attend a music session in cafe But at that moment I knew I could leave . He has been in safe hands all through the year. In good health, in good mood n very happy. Now that he is in school I am so proud of this young man. without much effort from my side as a mum my child knows his table manners, using cutlery, being social, a-z, 1-20, has transitioned out of sippy cups n diapers, knows some lovely church songs , has a fab vocabulary and has definitely come out of his shell and got a lovely personality.I was so moved on his last day when almost all kids were politely guided to hug my son a goodbye ..I have had absolutely 0 issues or complaints in anyway. I might have occasionally picked up a messy child or maybe a viral infection on bad days but never ever he had a sad or traumatic day ... he has always been happy , safe well fed and loved.Thank you Grey friar for the best year ever ... Cheers to lovely memories and thank you for all the hard work .. 10/10 for being super supportive, caring and loving nursery. You are truly missed.Warm regardsKERR family

We started our daughter in the nursery when she was 19 months old. We chose this nursery since it was close to home and has Ofsted Good rating. We visited the nursery and liked the setting and the staff. The nursery is clean and well-maintained. The garden has lots of space for free play.I'm writing this review after a month of starting our daughter with the nursery. Even though, she hasn't fully settled in yet, she is making a good progress and has a couple of good days a week. The nursery staff and the management are immensely helpful in settling our daughter and they are always reachable to answer any of our queries.

My daughter stayed at the Greyfriars day nursery for 4 months. I would highly recommend the Greyfriars nursery to anyone who’s looking for a nursery for their little ones. It was such a wonderful and happy environment for my daughter. The manager and staff are amazing and so caring.

I started working at Greyfriars at the end of November 2022 and I can honestly say it feels like I have been here years. All the staff, parents, and children have made me feel so welcome. All staff are always there with a listening ear should you need it. My daughter has a major operation towards the middle/end of the year and the management has been amazing at being considerate towards this and offering me advice in other sen areas with my daughter. Taking away the fact that I work here if I was looking at Greyfriars as a potential nursery for my daughter if she were younger I would 1000% bring her to Greyfriars - why because all the staff aim to get the children to thrive at a level they are capable of, hygiene standards are very high, the food is nourishing and always more than enough there, staff have great communication with the parents contacting them during the day should this be necessary and giving a full hand over when they come to pick up their child, the garden is spacious and allows the children to use their imagination to the fullest, overall Greyfriars has everything I would personally look for.

I request to all parents please don't send your child in this nursery. They made there own rules and forced parents to follow them . My baby has food allergy they treat him like he has dome disease and he spreading in a nursery. Reality is when they can't take load of kids they make an excuse and give a day off to few children's. Also they will keep your money and never give back .

Didn't believe friends when they told me not to take my child there. I was desperate so I did. Took my child out in less than 3 months. Lazy and rude workers, maybe even racist. Came home sick with dirty muddy hands, high fever and I knew he was being neglected. Always wet but potty trained at home. He was probably afraid of one or two of the teachers there. I am a trained nursery teacher myself, made the best decision for my child and took him out of this nursery. Best decision ever, he has not been sick in days.
