001 Taxis

I've generally had a positive experience whenever I used 001 Taxis, from booking to the operator to the driver itself. However, today's service was nothing short of appalling. I had pre-booked my taxi for 12:30 because I had an appointment at 13:00. To my shock, I received a text message stating that the driver had canceled because he couldn't locate me. This left me bewildered because the pickup point was my usual address, and I've never had issues before. Typically, I'd get a call from the driver when they're outside, but on this occasion, there was no such call.In a hurry, I immediately called the operator, hoping to rectify the situation. The operator assured me that the driver would return. To my surprise, the driver canceled for the second time, leaving me stranded. Frustrated, I decided to walk outside to try and locate the driver myself. Found the driver just sat there. He displayed a terrible level of incompetence. He hadn't even attempted to call or inform me about his whereabouts. The Lack of customer service shown by the driver is disgusting. Unwilling to drop me at my intended location. This added to the infuriating nature of the situation, making it an overall regrettable experience with 001 Taxis.I called the operator once more, expecting some assistance, but sadly, nothing was done. This unfortunate series of events led to me missing my crucial appointment, and I am utterly disappointed with the service provided by 001 Taxis on this occasion.

Really disappointed with my first time using this service. A holding fee of £24 was taken from my account before the ride. In addition £1.01 when I set the account up on the same day which confirms my bank details were successful. The fare was estimated between £15-£18 and the driver said there was an issue with my card and proceeded to charge me on the spot £24 for a 15 minute journey. Would appreciate some contacting me to discuss.

Booked a taxi to come home from evening out on Saturday evening for 10:45pm - I just missed the call from the driver (he was early) but got ready and left straight away and saw taxi outside. Got in taxi and the driver checked where we were going to, so we confirmed. He then suddenly said he had cancelled our ‘job’ as we missed his call- at this point it was 10:47 (2 minutes late) and we were in the car. I said how sorry I was that I had missed his call but he was early and we came straight away. I also explained that we had a babysitter waiting at home and could he please take us. He kept saying no, the job’s cancelled and we would need to get out and book another taxi. Rang to book and was told another taxi would be there in 5/10 minutes. Over half an hour of waiting in the rain we called another taxi company. We had to pay our babysitter extra for being almost an hour late and it was really stressful to be late for her. Mostly, just felt the driver was so unreasonable and unfair. Would not use 001 again on principle.

This review is to express my gratitude and appreciation for the incredible service by driver 274 who took us to hospital emergency.He was a true professional. He was so polite and calm.His driving skills, knowledge of routes and kindness was remarkable.The vehicle was also so clean and top notch.Full rating for driver 274.I will definitely recommend driver 274 and taxi 001.

Every single time I have used 001 taxis I have received an excellent service from the taxis. I am a regular costumer because of this. It is efficient, amicable and available.Having said that, the other day I really needed to go to the hospital for an emergency and I was not able to get a taxi because the person who was supposed to give me a ticket was busy getting coins out of the slot machines. Even after I mentioned the words hospital and emergency, the slot machines were a priority. I was in distress and I was discarded as a human being. The taxi driver was very nice about it but said he cannot take me unless I get the ticket. And I understand that.So my suggestion is that either they get a system in place so the taxi can take you even if they cannot issue a ticket or they try to hire someone with better manners who will not blatantly ignore a person in distress.I still recommend using their services, but do not expect to get bare-minimum human decency/customer service early in the morning. They are too busy emptying the slot machines to help you.

Driver 274 was exceptional and true professional. His punctuality, courtesy and driving skills were commendable.The cleanliness and comfort of his car added to overall pleasant experience. This is a review of the App and reservation process. Not of the drivers who have always been great. BEWARE if you book a taxi in advance, and get a confirmation of the booking, that does not mean you have a confirmed reservation, nor will you be given any indication of that. When I called I was blithely told that it was rush hour, there were no drivers, and my confirmation from the previous evening meant nothing. I subsequently got a text saying my reservation was cancelled. I rang back to complain. No apology, just told me I should have read the conditions on the website!!!!

We booked our taxi in advance to our destination for our Christmas party. The taxi didn’t arrived on time and when called explained they were going to be a further 20-25 minutes. We almost had our staff event cancelled by the destination but fortunately didn’t give away our table.When collected at the end of this evening, simply getting in the taxi by attempting to open the door the taxi driver was extremely disgruntled but didn’t explain why as we couldn’t hear him through the window.When returning home a member of our party attempted to open the door and the driver was extremely unprofessional. Extremely annoyed at this point he was told to take payment and open the doors.Mark Green, your cards will be removed from our business you’re welcome to collect them otherwise they will be disposed and won’t be recommending your services to other businesses your cards have been left at locally.

They arrived almost 15 min late to the prebooked drive and when i called the company to ask where my cab was and express my displeasure with their level of service the customer service guy on the phone hung up on me! Never have I been treated this way by a company! What a shame that this company has the complete monopoly over oxford, it means they don't have to deliver quality service, and it shows.
