Avicenna Clinic

My experience with the clinic was excellent, so I cannot recommend it enough.Initially I was going to have an MRI scan at a major hospital in Cambridge and was told that the waiting time was 6 weeks. At the time I had a very severe back pain, so thinking of 6 more weeks of agony made me rather desperate. Luckily I then discovered that I can have a scan at Avicenna in just two days! The previously mentioned major hospital received the MRI images only a day later, and was able to use them.After the scan I had an Xray-guided facial joint injection at Avicenna. Dr Hany gave me a clear and thorough explanation of the procedure both before and after it. During the procedure I felt very well supported and looked after. The procedure has reduced my severe pain to mild discomfort, thus allowing me to live normal life again.In summary, my experience shows that at Avicenna a patient will be seen quickly, will be given a lot of information, and will be treated with kindness and care.

BEWARE- Scans from this clinic are not compatible with some other well known medical facilities. My partner had to have a repeat scan elsewhere prior to surgery at an additional cost.

Very bad experience. Poor customer service. Bad quality mri. Given the high price I paid I expected more. I had to keep calling to get my mri scan results. They never got sent. The disc I was given when I went in again and asked for it had password on that I was not given. Every time I called to ask them why I could not open it I was rudely told it’s my date of birth. But was not told it’s in reverse. When my own consultant managed to get access to he said the scan was the worst he had ever seen and unable to make a diagnosis from it.Went to Harley st London in the end for another scan. Less than half the price including travel.The clinic is very nice and very well equipped. Poorly run. Avoid if you have a choice. Having gone to a different place I see how poor Avicenna is!!£650 for stress and no help for myself with my painful injury.

I attended the clinic on the 15th of June 2021 and found them extremely helpful and professional. they explain exactly what they were going to do and then followed the plan. I received my report that evening and have been able to arrange to get my shoulder fixed. Really happy with the service top notch would definitely recommend to family and friends. great service, friendly and professional keep it up.

8 days and I feel like l was dreaming, the professional medical care I received was exceptional from the minute Dr Haney opened the door when I had an MRI scan and I closed the door on the 8th day the dream ended.The following things had happened MRI scanfully explained and immediately said to proceedUnfortunately my medication needed adjusting things moved forward had blood test all good Dr Haneysent a text saying we could proceed today.Arrived on time and completed the preliminaries(paperwork).It was now getting close to going upstairs to thetheatre the Doctor asked if I had any questions ,he had painted a picture in my mind so no need for questions.THEATREmore explanations throughout the operationand the Doctor said all done.My dream was over.Thank you Dr Haney and Assistant

The staff and Dr at the clinic were extremely professional, knowledgable and provided a first class service from the original request, to the timeframe for my appointment through the whole time I was at the clinic. I felt extremely safe and well treated particularly in the current climate.

Having been referred for a series of ultrasound scans by my GP I contacted the Avicenna Clinic around midday and they managed to fit me in on the very same day. I attended the clinic for my 5.30pm appointment and was extremely impressed by the setup and the professionalism of all of the practitioners that I met. First class service from very kind staff!

My doctor wanted me to have an MRI scan, which I refused because of my extreme claustrophobia, until I was told about the open MRI scanner at Avicenna. After watching the video (a few times) on their website, I agreed and an appointment was made for me within a few days. On arrival, I was very anxious but was immediately put at ease by Dr Hany, who explained the procedure with patience, understanding and professionalism. The scan itself took about 30 minutes and although I couldn't totally relax, it was not too bad. I think the fact that my husband was able to be with me and that you could see out of the side of the scanner, made the experience more bearable.I would highly recommend Avicenna Clinic to anyone who struggles with claustrophobia or anxiety.Thank you Dr Hany

After 2 weeks pain & GP saying my 84 yr old Mum had groin strain & an MRI couldn't be done for 3 weeks she came here . Was found to have Subcapital fracture of femur. Straight to A & E now had Dynamic hip screw op. Excellent service. Thank you Dr Hany & Adam for your help. Highly recommend.

The clinic always accommodates our requests for scans and guided injections at short notice, providing us with rapid access to imaging reports. The service is professional, friendly and efficient. The clinic is ideally located in the centre of Peterborough with plenty of nearby parking.
