Cruise lovely enjoyed scenery. Staff very welcoming and attentive. However fish/chips were not very warm therefore not tasting to good. This is a shame, but we do a cruise again but not this one.

Fabulous boat trip with delicious fish and chip supper. The staff were lovely and we really enjoyed ourselves. Bedford looks so different from the river!

I was on holiday in Bedford last august and on 26th august I decided to try the John Bunyan boat trip. I think it was an absolutely amazing cruise with great hospitality. The staff gave clear details about Bedford and the River Ouse.

Great service from a very warm and friendly team of volunteers. There are light refreshments and snacks on board with a toilet and disabled access with a disabled lift.The tour takes around 45 minutes to return. A great afternoon time pass

Our trip on the John Bunyan boat on Saturday 9th September was excellent. The crew were very helpful, the food was delicious and the boat journey was calm.So well done.Alan and Sue Langley

The boat and crew were up to their normal very high standard as were the Richard Exning trio who sadly had to play some of the time against a barrage of chatter from some other guests.I don't expect silence but it would be nice to hear the music all of the time!Bar & fish & chips were good.Thanksles Ward

What a wonderful experience. How silly we've lived in Bedford for 20+ years and we've never been on the river! The John Bunyan Afternoon Tea trip to Mercure Hotel was a lovely family outing. Beautiful scenery, fantastic volunteers who were all really knowledgeable of the history of the river and surrounding Bedford. We learnt so many new things about the town. The tea was delicious and the Mercure catered brilliantly for our Coeliac daughter with a gluten free tea. In fact she had more to eat than us...unheard of! We're already thinking about planning another trip in the opposite direction to Great Barford and The Anchor Pub.

Had the absolute best time on the boat. We attended a 2 hour Motown and Soul cruise. Great music, great vibes, lots of dancing! Thankyou to all the volunteers that make it happen! Will be back again soon!

Really lovely boat trip. Very friendly volunteers, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was amazing I was expecting it to be on the boat but we actually stopped at the Mercury Hotel it was luscious.

Run by a load of volunteers who are very passionate about the river, the history and the town of Bedford. 2 hour cruise including a cream tea and informative commentary. Definitely a most if you are visiting Bedford. You may need to check if you need to book in advance.
