Holiday Inn Cardiff City Centre, an IHG Hotel

We just enjoyed a shared Christmas party at the hotel. We are a group of friends wanting a get together before Christmas. It was excellent value for money, the food was good and the staff and service was excellent. We all had a brilliant evening

Fab staff and facilities. Food was tremendous as was the entertainment on sat night. Breakfast was the pick me up you need after a busy night playing. The food was smoking. Best bacon I've had this year. Eggs done to perfection. Smooth checkout by the cheerful reception team. Well done girls.

Anna on reception at checkout was very rude. She needs training in customer service.The internet/WiFi went off on the bedroom TV because it's a metered/limited connection.The room was dirty and had a smell, the carpet was filthy.The meal in evening was good, very small for a mixed grill but it was well cooked.The breakfast was the worst I've had in a long time. The fresh" hash browns were chewy and stale

Great clean hotel with good service. Food in restaurant is also good. Bar is expensive and rooms definitely need an update as they do not match the 4* rating or reception/bar area. This is my go to hotel whenever I stop I'm Cardiff for work.

The room was a little dusty. Curtains let light in as threads were worn in some spots. The plug in the sink didn't prevent water escaping. There was cables trailing on the floor in the hallway to the room. The bar and restaurant are pricey. And it wasn't until we checked in that we were informed the whole hotel is cashless. But.....the location was fantastic. Most of the staff were polite, welcoming and friendly.

Centrally located with views of both the Castle and the Millennium stadium.The rooms are very clean but a little tired looking.The breakfast was very nice.The reception staff were very helpful.

Nice location in the city centre. The receptionist with the short blond hair and terrible customer service let the hotel staff down. Rude and unfriendly.The rooms are really old and dated, scruffy furniture, cracked bathroom tiles and mouldy grout.The beds however were comfortable.The breakfast was nice with a good selection.There is a strange white panel outside the bedroom window so ensure you close your curtains at night otherwise you get a reflection of the neighbouring room…

We had a Christmas party night in Callaghans bar, it was £20 a head and we had the place to ourselves and I cant recommend this enough. The buffet was superb and there were plenty for the 60 of us. We also had a great DJ.Tommy and the team made it very easy for us to organise from the start and gave us 3 wrist bands for designated drivers so they could have complimentary soft drinks all evening. There was also 20% off at the bar which meant the drinks were very reasonably priced.The place was decorated lovely and all the staff and security made us feel very welcome and safe.Bit thank you to Tommy and the team for a fab night and everyone is keen to book next year :)
