South Ealing Cemetery

Well-maintained and beautiful cemetery, with carpets of crocuses and snowdrops at this time of year. There are also a handful of benches in the older portion of the cemetery, making it a great place to rest as well as walk. Plenty of birds, too - I've seen woodpeckers here.

Lovely tranquil Victorian Gothic garden of the dead to meander around.The grey stone buildings were erected by the architect Charles Jones 1861, for the Ealing and Old Brentford Buriel Board.Has lots of yew trees and hedging avenues leading to circular beds.A fare number of WW1 and WW2 war graves and a large white Cross commemorate fallen soldiers without gravestones.Beautiful angels and other memorials grace the grounds.No longer open for buriels unless it's the opening of a family buriel site.The MP Spencer Walpole who previously owned Pitshanger Manor was buried here in 1896.In close proximity to Gunnersbury Park and Blondin Park.Nearest stations are South Ealing, Northfields and Brentford Overground Station.

Nice to pass through.Close to two stations (Northfield & Sputh ealing) this cemetery offers a nice passage to get to Brentford with its wide alleys that can be crossed woth bicycles.Beautiful gotic buildings and abundance of trees and bushes. People can find tranquility in there. Some of the roots of the trees have disrupted some graves. But there will be some who appreciate that effect.

Cementerio victoriano con gran encanto. Es el sitio perfecto para pasear tranquilamente y disfrutar de las bonitas lápidas y esculturas. En primavera, llaman la atención los colores vivos de los narcisos amarillos en contraste con el verde de la vegetación y el musgo.

Very interesting Cemetery but needs a bit of tlc.
