The Sewing Box

This is the BEST haberdashary I have ever used. Twice I have taken two different coats to this shop, one a very expensive outdoor garment, and they have mended the problem perfectly. The garments required some thinking out of the box, they did this with a smile. Highly recommend this shop.

The Sewing Box is absolutely what a small, local business should be. We have used them for a variety of jobs over many years. They know what they're doing, costs and response times are reasonable, and they are unfailingly polite. Other merchants should follow their example.

Just stopping by to leave a review of Sam's wonderful upholstery service at The Sewing Box. He recently reupholstered a pair of chairs we bought second-hand and they look absolutely amazing - we're totally made up with them. Sam was really patient with all my stupid questions before hand (having never had something reupholstered before) and helped advise on fabric, timing and price every step of the way. And after all that, he charged us slightly less than quoted because it took him a bit less time than he expected. It has been such a pleasure to deal with Sam and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services. Incidentally, we have also had at least half a dozen items of clothing mended and altered at The Sewing Box and every time it's been friendly, professional, affordable and high quality. Can't recommend this place enough!
