Had pork pies, chicken and mushroom pie, cheese pastie, thin pork sausages and frozen pork meatballs with tomato sauce for one and brought pasta to go with it and frozen mince and dumplings for one to defrost and cook at home. Lovely products and service. Took a pork pie home they were so good.

Scotch (lamb) pies are the best I've ever tasted, we always get some when we're on holiday in Northumberland. Great view of the castle just around the corner too!

After a decent walk through the dunes, this little butchers was a real find. I had the roast pork with apple sauce roll and the wife had a pastie. It was simply delicious and I would very much recommend it to anyone. I will be back yum!!!

This is everything traditional local butchers should be. The range and quality of the goods offered looked second to none.The Scotch (lamb) pies are the best I've ever tasted, with a fabulous crust encasing the succulent lamb filling. The hand raised pork pie was again up with the best we have ever had. The scotch egg was divine, crispy on the outside with a fabulous meat filling encasing the egg.Can also recommend the breakfast bacon buns as a great start to a busy day exploring the area.

Mick and the team always provide a friendly welcome with some light hearted banter (have known him for years) - the quality and choice of meat never disappoints and one of highlights of coming to bamburgh is visiting the butchers - well done and keep up the good work #FTM

Parked in Bamburgh. Walked around and happened upon carters. It has 2 shops next to each other. One side butchers, other side selling home made lasagnes, beef bourgignon etc, so all you have to do is heat the meal up.Great idea good home cooked food and very reasonably priced. Butchers side even does hot breakfast sandwiches, which are amazing. Visit you won't be disappointed.

Stayed in Bamburgh for a few nights. We visited this butchers for some sausage rolls .for a snack .. we would loved to have purchased more but had no way of refrigerating the goods as we were staying in a hotel.After ordering the sausage rolls the person serving gave no please or thanks for our order , although the previous ‘local’ customer seemed to get better service . Maybe the owner doesn’t like tourists., who knows ? The sausage rolls were OK however, a bit of courtesy would have gone a long way . Won’t bother with them next time . Manners are everything .
