Canterbury Cathedral Lodge Hotel

My parents have just held their 60th Wedding anniversary party here. It was a sit down lunch for 40 people. It was a great success in all respects. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in the planning of the event. The service staff on the day were efficient, friendly and very helpful. The lunch was delicious and promptly served. The room worked incredibly well with good acoustics for the hard of hearing. I can unreservedly recommend the Cathedral Lodge for a special event.

Went for event and not staying at the hotel. Venue was excellent, good location, staff were good and food excellent.

The room is clean but very small. The bed is also very narrow and we are not big people. Location and breakfast was great but not so syre if I would book again due to beds.

Stunning location within the cathedral precinct. Super friendly staff. Great breakfast. A very special place. Rooms are simple but good. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay.

Just got back from staying here. It's a lovely place. Lots of staff and all quite helpful. We had a twin room with a cathedral view. It was a nice room. On a winters night it was very warm and cosy. The breakfast was nice enough. Table service so not help yourself. Stops people being greedy I guess. Great location for the cathedral. We had an event there and parked onsite for £10 per night. We visited the cathedral to look around the next day. We got in free with our accommodation room pass, so saved £17 each. It is set in the cathedral grounds and just a stroll away from the shops.The TV apps on the TV didn't work on the internet as our room was so far away from the reception area (I think) This may not have been the reason why but it's what I presumed.Great stay though and would book here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend in the room we had. I can't speak for the basic rooms.

A hotel right next to the Cathedral. Entrance via a gate which closes after 9:30pm (need to ring the doorbell). Guests staying here have free entry to the Cathedral. This area is nice and feels safe. We stayed at a twin room at the second floor of the Burgate building. Breakfast included and will have to book a dining time slot when checking in.

Booked in for the lunch, haven't stayed at the hotel, service was OK, but a meal, absolutely disappointing. Brought my stepdad for father's day meal, roast" beef dinner was very raw and practically unchewable. Yorkshire pudding burnt. My fav part was probably cauliflower and carrot....I'm not a fussy person

Brilliant place to stay in Canterbury, right inside the cathedral precincts. Free entry to the cathedral and right in the historic centre of the city. Worth paying the very reasonable fee for parking. Excellent breakfast included but don't count on being able to eat in the hotel in the evening as they prioritise any functions (which are frequent) and so don't open then. Very comfortable rooms with excellent showers. Highly recommended for a stay in the beautiful, historic city.

Attended a Christmas dinner there. The meal was of top quality, and the service was excellent.
