The gym itself is ran by Mr Univers Bill Jones 1996, and has been a very efficient gym in most ways,IE great staff and top of the range equipment. Home from home for me.Great gym itself. Great place to get fit and very educational. Five stars..

Old school, hardcore bodybuilding gym. Everything you need for a good workout and then some. You can't have a bad workouts in a place with an atmosphere like this

Recently joined this gym. Paul was brilliant. Showed me all the equipment I needed and really helped me get started. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and as a woman it feels very safe. No posing or posh gym outfits. It’s a place where you go to train seriously. I’m once again addicted to training and hope to be going there for years to come. Best gym on the planet.

A brilliant, well-established gym.The atmosphere kinda blends an authentic American health club with a bit of spit 'n sawdust and the result is something unique. There's absolutely tons of equipment here and it can be quite daunting to a newcomer unfamiliar with the layout. There are enough free weights to satisfy a seasoned lifter and some of the Nautilus and Hammer Strength machines are fairly rare and feel fantastic. This is a no-frills sort of place. A few of the machines' fabrics have seen better days, the toilets are a little rough and ready and the sun bed and steam room no longer function... but let's be honest, are these features really why you'd join an old-school gym?If you're deliberating between joining Gym 21 or your run of the mill fitness chain, choose here. The price is more or less the same and the staff (shout out to Paul) and members are extremely friendly. Nobody judges you - we're all here to lift heavy things and there's people of all shapes, sizes and ages training together under one roof.
