Holme-next-the-Sea Car Park

THIS IS A WARNING. Do not use this carpark as run by charlatans. Parked, tried to pay by app, but reception poor. Paid by card in end and told as outside 10min window £100 fine. Appealed twice (once by themselves, other time but 'supposedly' independent appeal) and tenured down. Parked for 80 mins in total (inc time trying to pay) and paid for 120mins so overpaid. But still fined. This was winter, in summer you will struggle to pay even more as only one machine and very poor phone signal. Read Google/Tripadvisor reviews as since changed to private contractors it's a scam to fine people.

Not sure this is a car park, it is two holes at the side of the road where you can leave your car to walk across the golf course to get to the beach.We never reached the beach but Interesting to see the standard of the course was not great despite the high price advertised for a round.

BEWARE, this car park is now run by Civil Enforcement a private car parking company using ANPR camera for arrivals and exits. There is a single parking machine which needs to be used within 10 minutes of arrival unless you want a £100 fine. There is often a queue and the machine itself is unreliable, particularly if you want to use debit card. There is a Phone and Pay app automated system for payment but this does not work properly in this location due to poor phone coverage.Have just been fined £100 despite registering my stay and repeated attempts to get the app to download correctly. Obviously Holme Golf Club who evidently own the land do not want visitors!!

Would give no stars if I could.Like other reviews I paid to park all day but got a fine because I was 3 mins overtime in paying, due to not being able to download the app and then a queue at the machine.Whoever manages this car park needs to sort this out!Shame because the car park and beach beyoned is lovely.This is daylight robbery!!

Just Sand and Sea with plenty of space to social distance and just £5.00 to park all day reasonably size carpark . There is a unisex toilet opposite the car park. No ice cream sellers or any amusements you have to make your own.

Do not park here !! Eventually paid my £5 to park after the person in front of me had struggled to get the machine to work then received a fine when I got home with no explanation other than payment not made in accordance with terms. I appealed twice (sending my ticket)before a response and it turns out I didn’t purchase my ticket within ten minutes.You are unable to contact them other than through appeal and they review the appeals themselves. My fine has now increased to £100 ! Do Not park here !!

Disgraceful. On holiday but thankfully checked reports of the carpark we going to in Holme next the Sea in Norfolk. The sign says you have 10 minutes to pay or you are sent a fine of £100.. Now like a lot of people on holiday I did not have this app on my phone which meant downloading it. However knowing this to start with I decided to do a test.I pulled up in the layby putside the carpark and walked to the meter. Read the board and started to download the app over the abysmal wifi.By the time I had the app on my phone and had paid...took 3 attempts to get it sorted it had taken 15 minutes. At ghat rate I would have had a £100 fine facing me.So if you come here use the layby outside until you manage to complete your payment. Then drive yr car in.

Do not use this car park, it requires you to register and pay within 10 minutes. This is impossible when the machine isn't working and there is no mobile phone coverage. When you appeal against the fine they totally ignore you and scare you into paying with court threats and recovery of cash methods. Dispicable company.

DO NOT PARK HERE! The app takes ages to download so after eventually paying for all day then received a fine as apparently you only get 10 minutes to pay! Appeal rejected even though the late payment was due to the app so had to pay another £60 even though I had paid £7 to park ALLDAY!

Do not park here! Met the family there on holiday. App wouldn’t work and we had no change on us until our family arrived. Received a fine for £100 because we hadn’t paid within ten minutes of arriving! The car park height barrier is only 6ft so I had to take the roof box off outside the car park to get parked. We appealed the fine but no joy so effectively they are just dishing out fines for people doing nothing wrong. Wasn’t our fault the app wasn’t working!! I won’t be going back!
