Absolutely loved it here! The coffee and cakes were fantastic, could not recommend more, perfect little coffee stop during the fringe.I had a chai latte and a slice of mocha tart. The latte was lovely, but the mocha tart was the stand out, I’m still thinking about it a month later! My friend had an espresso and croissant which she enjoyed.I paid £13 for the coffee and tart, a little bit on the pricey side, but very enjoyable. If you like caffeine and have a sweet tooth, I’d defiantly recommend stopping by!

We were walking down Cockburn street trying desperately to find a cafe that wasn't completely crowded when we found this one, almost totally empty! The staff was lovely, really made me feel comfortable despise my anxiety, and the hot chocolate is to die for!! Really quiet and warm atmosphere, great for a nice calm breakfast! And the view from their window tables is absolutely amazing100% recommend going there!!

Great place , sadly opens at 10pm . Nice atmosphere to sit work and have a chat.Offer 10%student discount too.I tried the iced latte (£3.10) and the chocolate twist (£2.30), would recommend both. Unsure why the regular lattes at this place are priced at 4 pounds compared to the iced.Nevetheless would recommend.

I’ve been here a couple of times although it’s always a last option if other places are too busy. Remembered today when I visited for the first time in a while why it’s a last option - the staff are unfriendly, pastries are stale and the coffee takes forever to be made and is served lukewarm. Won’t be making the mistake of returning again!

Great service and good coffee, they even gave us cutlery for our pain au chocolate. Also price wise better value than other coffee shops nearby. I also like that there is plenty of space and it’s not over crowded.

Been a few times and the coffee is fine and has space but the service isn't great. Went over an hour before closing time at the weekend and they had stopped serving except takeaway because they were closing soon"

I found refuge in this lovely place when it started pouring while I was visiting Cockburn street. The place is so welcoming, warm and well decorated interior with soft lights, jazz music, nice view over the beautiful cobbled street… I only had a pot of tea so I could not judge the food quality but they seem to have a large choice of toasties, sandwiches and pastries. A nice place to relax in the middle of a busy day visiting Edinburgh.

Lovely food and drinks here. We revisited several times. The staff were friendly and down to earth. Vegan and gluten free catered for, which is sometimes hard to find (particularly gluten free). The building is lovely and decorated tastefully, the previous history of it being the printing place of The Scotsman is celebrated well.

I have to say that it’s a bit disappointing that me and my partner ordered coffee to drink inside and we were served with coffee in cardboard cups. I thought this was an exception only but everyone around was drinking from it as well… what kind of service is that? Bit disappointing, was expecting much better as the place looks great
