Beautiful hotel. Lovely, friendly staff. Rooms are spotless clean, well equipped with large comfy bed and coffee machine. The breakfast was what really sealed the deal, wow. Definitely the best breakfast we've ever had. Would highly recommend a visit to this wee gem.

Loved our stay with you.Your staff are so pleasant. Room was fab.Would love to visit in summer time with longer days.Cooked breakfast excellent.Dined in your Restaurant both nights, compliments to your Chef and staff.Visited for 2 nights to visit Belfast Christmas market and participate in Parkrun, sadly the latter was cancelled.Would love to return sometime.

Hillyard House Hotel
This was either our fifth or sixth time staying. Fantastic welcome from receptionist checking in. Food was excellent , as was the breakfast, all members of staff very helpful and friendly. Our only disappointment was the room , for the first time we had noisy room and didn’t get a great sleep. But otherwise was another great stay.

Had a splendid dinner with a few prelim drinks on 20/11/23. Bar well stocked with great range of spirits. Darcy humoured us and was a fantastic hostess. Moved to dining room which is first class. All staff v friendly and professional. Food was exceptional. My missus is v fussy but loved the food/ venue. We loved the experience and would strongly recommend.

We had our wedding day at Hillyard House in July 23. Everything was fantastic from the initial meeting to the day. We decided to have reception drinks and live music in the mezzanine and then had our wedding breakfast in the top of the yard restaurant. The food and drinks were divine and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Diane in reception for helping with all aspects of the organisation for the day.This venue is so beautiful for a unique, small wedding and we would highly recommend it.Keren and Russ

Hillyard House Hotel
The staff are professional very friendly and always smiling. The food was excellent and there was a good choice of food particularly the breakfast menu. The rooms are well decorated and equipped with tea and coffee making facilities a hairdryer is also available. I found the bed to be very comfortable. The hotel is well located within the town of Castlewellan and immediately adjacent to Castlewellan Forest Park.My wife and I really enjoyed are stay, and plan to book again in the new year, and we will certainly be recommending the hotel to family and friends.

Stayed here for our belated 40th wedding anniversary courtesy of our daughter. What a great place. Food was fantastic with a breakfast menu the best we had ever experienced. Lovely touches to celebrate our anniversary with complimentary platter with brownies and chocolate covered strawberries! The hotel was spotless, comfortable and the staff amazing. Highly recommend and would love to go back.

We had a meal here and was amazing food it was delicious and plenty on the plate. The staff were very friendly and very polite and helpful it’s worth a visit you will not be disappointed beautiful surroundings nice and warm it’s must

Hillyard House Hotel
Beautiful hotel. Our room was a superior double with view over the town square. A little noisy at times especially when an idiot with a thumping bass speaker parked under the window at 3am. Staff are cheerful, friendly, courteous and helpful. Reception staff were particularly noteworthy. Food was generally good and well priced. Overall I would recommend and certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay again if looking for accommodation in that area.

Hillyard House Hotel
Absolutely love going to this hotel, so comfy and all staff are super friendly! The food was amazing from lunch, dinner and breakfast. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff . I would go here any day of the week love it! Brilliant deals too.
