Ditchfield Dental Practice

My husband regularly gets a NHS prescription toothpaste from this practice. He was seen by their dentist 2 weeks ago. On ringing after only 2 weeks after his appointment he was advised he would have to wait till his next appointment in May. As he has been seen so recently this should be authorised. They offer for you to buy the toothpaste over the counter.Update - after speaking to the surgery again my husband has been given the prescription. The dentist had to back check his records which is absolutely fair enough but this should really have been indicated at the time of the first request. I have increased my rating from 1 star to 3.

Ditch field were able to give me an appointment when my usual practice couldn't see me for a couple of months. My hygienist appointment was great, he gave me some good advice and tips and as guaranteed, my issues stopped within two days. Thank you.

Terrible service. Was referred by my dentist to the visiting dental surgeon and have never been treated so rudely by a 'professional'. Not to mention the initial messed up booking by the admin staff. I find dentists visits extremely nerve wracking and it was not made easier by the dentists attitude, especially when I said I needed to speak to my dentist as they advised I needed a tooth removing, only to be told by the surgeon it didn't but they could take it out anyway if I wanted?! Was left feeling extremely confused, only for the dentist to say 'do what you want' and turn his back on me. May be nice to their clients but avoid like the plague if you're referred to them

I found this practice on the NHS website where it was stated that they accepted NHS patients. I registered successfully as an NHS patient. I booked a check-up with the NHS and a private appointment with the hygienist. The hygienist did not do a particularly good job, for £ 50, and the overall cleaning process lasted 10 minutes. Several weeks before the NHS appointment was due, I received a text message in which it was stated that the appointment was cancelled. I don't know you, but I wasn't born this morning. If you think that you can attract new patients (you call them customers) in this way you are seriously wrong. You will never see me again.

Don't even bother. They advertise that they're also an NHS practice but they tell you we have decided to stop taking NHS patients". We pay for NHS services but they don't accept us. Ridiculous"

Had a fantastic hygienist clean and Polish with airflow this afternoon. My teeth have never felt or looked as clean! Friendly, very professional and knowledgeable… I have left with aftercare advice. Highly recommend.
